Food was only okay, eggs were over cooked, there was a lot of custard on the waffle - to the point it completely overwhelmed the fruit and waffle - the staff were very busy and left us waiting. It was also quite expensive, much more than we were expecting to spend on a breakfast that didn’t even have mimosas.
Not a lot of choice for breakfast restos in Byward Market in Ottawa. Once we ordered breakfast they offer us onions and peppers to our meal. The waiter upsold us without informing us the onions and peppers were extra$$$. Coffee and tea are not included Service was good.
Place was packed 16 tables large groups.....Amazing food and our server somehow took care of everything with a smile and excellent service!
I loved the freshness of the food, but the hit was the presentation of the fruit!!!!! Wow! the service was pretty good too, I ordered Benedict eggs with salmon and my husband got the French toast, they were super fast and the place super clean. We really love it, it is a must!!!!
Our egg breakfast was cold and on the dry side. The restaurant was busy and full of patrons. The ventilation / air conditioning seemed incapable of accommodating the large group on this particularly hot day. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable.
Never had an issue before,but just left there .Waited in line as a single with two groups of two ahead of me, waiting for 15 min.Twice the hostess went to the back of the line and chose a bigger group to fill tables ahead of the 3 smaller groups at the front.I love the restaurant and food but customer service needs some work .Fill the chairs not the tables attitude.Greed will bite you eventually.
I believe in the quote "never judge a book by its cover", it says well through coras food!! At first glance it didn't look appealing, but my first bite was never my last!! They have long history of Spanish in corporate with French food!! It was tasty. I recommend tasting it for yourself, they don't have steak thoughㅠㅠ
Great food, generous portions, well prepared. The fresh fruit is fabulous. Recommend the smoothies, eggs Benedict and the fruit bowl but really you can’t go wrong - everything is delicious. Friendly and attentive staff. Outstanding service.
Terrific service at the Rideau location. There was a full house and only one server with 2 bussers and a hostess the Sunday morning I was there. This crew never missed a step. I've worked as a server and was impressed as heck at how this gentleman kept it together for at least an hour until another server arrived. Breakfast was delicious too. I only saw 2 incorrect orders taken back to the kitchen in that time out of more than 30 tables. Somebody give that man a raise.
They have fresh fruits and the food is good but they need to solve the staffing problem. It seemed like they were under staffed, considering the amount of time it was taking for them to get orders out and the mess ups with orders.
