A friend took me here to try the burgers. Didn't disappoint! Massive portion and includes both fries and salad. Decent beer selection too. It's an energetic atmosphere so it's loud inside.

Welcoming staff. Large portion for the price. Duck is slightly dry and very over salted. Snails are not impressed. Overall average or below average food (from a person from Toronto perspective).

my favourite joint in town. cool atmosphere and great friendly staff. don’t miss their brunch!

We loved Chez Lucien! We searched for a restaurant near our hotel and this one came up. The reviews were good so we tried it. We weren’t disappointed- the menu was diverse and we all ate something different. The mussels were outstanding, the seafood pasta delicious and the liver and onions so tender. The fries are a must have! The waitress was excellent. We were very impressed and would definitely return. A great start to our weekend trip.

This restaurant is fantastic! We went here for dinner and were very impressed with the food and the atmosphere. The burger was amazing and the fries were some of the best I have ever had. The pasta was also excellent. I haven’t stopped thinking about the fries since I last had them. The staff were friendly and service was fast. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a place to go for dinner in the market. We will be back!

Cute little restaurant and bar. Customer service was great, restaurant atmosphere was awesome and not far from downtown. I had the Bourgeois Burger and my pal had the Chez Lucien Burger. Both were good, served with AMAZING fries and a large garden salad. What needs improvement is the Burger them selves. They were both a little dry and in need of more sause or something to offset the dryness. The burgers were good but not quite at a wow level.

The protein salad is an awesome vegan option here. The tofu burger is also great! So happy to see vegan options at a cute pub.

Walked around the market looking for a cozy vibe with good food that wouldn’t cost too much. Walked by Chez Lucien and it was exactly what we were looking for. We walked in to see that the place seemed lively with guests but not too busy considering it was probably around 10pm. The bartender (Jeff) greeted us and told us to take a seat wherever we’d like. We instantly noticed he was well liked amongst the crowd at the bar and he was very friendly. We got the hot wings and the basket of fries and some beers. Everything tasted delicious, the wings were the best I have had in a while. They have a wonderful jukebox with 200 albums to select from and due to the dwindling crowd there wasn’t a huge demand for it and we played whatever we were feeling throughout our meal, the bartender complimented a lot of our choices and made us feel very welcome.10/10 would return to this hidden gem, it’s almost too good to share. Go to Chez Lucien and ask for Jeff, you won’t be disappointed.

I've been returning to Chez Lucien for at least 20 years. It's a great place full of ambiance from morning (for brunch) to night. The burger and the fries are excellent. The clientele is very diverse from young people to oldies which is delightful. The service is always excellent and most of the times one can be served in French too. It can be quite busy however on the weekend.

This placed was packed on a Saturday night and very loud with patrons enjoying conversation. If you like a selection of beer and burgers within an old historic pub vibe this is the place for you. Burgers are unique and there is a nice selection of pasta. The mussels looked delicious. This is not a wheelchair friendly restaurant and bathrooms are in an old misty basement. So, come for the pub vibe and enjoy the burgers and beer.
