I was Sensei customer for a long time but I have been so disappointed the last time I went there. I had made a reservation for the same night and when I arrived I have been seated on the most uncomfortable table. There were a few tables empty but I have been told that there were all reserved! I made a reservation too so how come I can not be seated on the other tables? They answer was just no we can not move you, so I left :(I was expecting a better customer service. So disappointed!
We always get the salmon poke bowl with extra salmon. I used to get the pork cutlet burrito but they stopped serving it. We also loved the takoyaki but it looks like they stopped serving that too :(
Quick take out. Friendly counter person. They were out of half of the sushi burritos the evening we went but it was Saturday evening.
Absolutely love love loveeeee this place!! Their tonkatsu was so delicious, and the takoyaki were so so so good tooooo. Really love the food and it’s nice having more Japanese options in the city besides sushi! :)
Highly recommend this place. We got the sweet potato croquette as appetizers, and the fired up salmon and sweet potato cannon burritos. Everything was so tasty and fresh. Will definitely revisit to try more.
I honestly did not expect this. I expected this to be a quick chain style restaurant that wasn't that great as far as quality goes, boy was I wrong. This was the most delicious poke bowl i've ever had! Soooo so fresh, not a single spec of brown on any of the ingredient (including the avocado) My biggest pet peeve with sushi or poke is when the rice is overcooked and mush but it was perfect. The lady was also so friendly, i'm super happy to have discovered this restaurant
Sweet potato croquettes mushy and cold. Salmon burrito was not appetizing. The pork belly was inedible. Miso soup was cold and flavourless.
Got the Gyu Don (Simmered beef rice bowl), not very impressed. It was takeout so maybe their dine-in is better, but while the beef itself was fine the rest of the toppings--some onion I think, and what was either beansprouts or vermicelli, can't be sure--had been over-cooked into a mushy mess of unidentifiable pieces. All of it was squishy and none of it was particularly appetizing.
Their poke bolls are excellent and very customizable! Their sushi burritos are pretty unique and taste very good. They also have vegetarian friendly options.
Fantastic poke bowls. Looking forward to going back when in house dining resumes.
