Timely and friendly service. Still one of the top pizza locations in town.
I placed an order and was told over the phone it was $31.00 plus tax. I get there for pick up and then told it's $35.00 plus tax, and guy straight-up lies about what he said on the phone. To make it worse they switched from real chicken to process lunch meat for the clubs, the fries only tasted like grease and they jacked up the price! Will never return to this place.
Famous for their pizza but the pizza I ordered wasn't even okay. Won't be back. Tables need to be cleaned after each customer.
Met friends there for breakfast. A restaurant that serves up good meals and great service always stands the test of time.
We ordered the fettuccine Alfredo tonight. Disappointed is not the word. The sauce was the equivalent of a can of thick cream of chicken soup over noodles. No richness to it, no garlic, just cheap tasting and bland. Certainly not an authentic cream sauce. The sauce also had an unusual sweetness to it which was an additional turn off. Just gross. The kicker was the “garlic bread”, which was literally two soggy pieces of very thin sandwich bread. My advice, don’t do it.
Hungry for a poutine? My recommendation? Avoid Bella Vista.I haven't gone to Bella Vista since my high school days, which was over 10 years ago. My goodness have the prices changed (and yes, I know inflation is rampant everywhere). It used to be $2.50 for fries and gravy, and $5 for the poutine. The fries and gravy had tripled in price, and the poutine has nearly doubled in price; but the quality has plummeted. To their credit, I ordered on Ubereats, so your experience may differ from mine, but the cheese is just not acceptable. Using shredded cheese instead of cheese curds when you're charging almost $10 for a non-large poutine is extreme to say the least. The fries were acceptable, definitely better than pizza place poutine: not that that's saying too much. The problem, which the pictures should hopefully show, is that they don't fill the container. There's still a good amount of room to ram in more fries. It looks like they were a bit shy with their portion distribution. This is the BIGGEST reason for the 2 star score. I hate when places short change you on the portions. Finally, the highlight is definitely the gravy. It was absolutely delicious. They definitely don't need to work on the gravy at all. They need to add curds and add more fries to their portions. Then, Bella Vista may get my seal of approval. In short, the place does have potential, but as it currently stands, it's not good enough to shell out the money. Nobody gave the poutine a serious review, so I thought I'd toss my hand into the ring, so people don't have to guess and hope for the best when putting in an order. Thanks for the experience Bella Vista. I will hopefully be back in the future, and hopefully you will take this review and future criticism from other patrons seriously instead of thinking they are fueled by blind hate.On a side note, I am interested in trying one of your pizzas, but your prices scare the living hell out of me. Might want to lower the prices a bit too. Thanks for your time.
This place is in a tucked away corner of Bank and Alta Vista,..To far away from my route to notice distinctly,..CRAVING lasagne today,...I hit the Idependant grocer for Ceasars salad and finally noticed Bella Vista,...Curious, not hopeful I strolled over to pick a take out menu,..Walked out, briefly thought, is an Italian word,..My feet literally went screech when I hit the brakes after my lazy eyes spotted lasagne was on the menu,..I immediately turned around to go back inside,..Ordered lasagne, was told 15 mins and I waited outside.15 mind later a different guy tapped on the window and greeted me at the door with my order,..Mamma Mia I said to him as he handed me a piping hot hefty take out container,...I literally had to juggle this thing from on hand to the next asi walked home,...Then I'm mad at myself,...I FORGOT to order garlic bread,...Too late now,...I get home and pull the package out of the bag, and there's something extra not mentioned in menu,...Not garlic bread, but two sides of white bread that had been seared on a flat top stove,...I'm still blown away by this chance encounter, I'm typing about it,..and I'm a hard critic,..Kind of regret it tho cause I hate waiting in lines,..I'll be back,....Congrats Bella Vista,...F'ing awesome experience,...
