We are not vegan. However, the every course blew our socks off! The meals were well prepared and so much creativity and thoughts behind each dish.
The restaurant itself is minimilist and well appointed. The food is very well executed and curated. Staff were very effecient however the pace could have been a bit slower. Explanation of food and wine pairing could have been more from the heart and passion than reciting an essay. Overall a great experience at Alice worth experimenting!
The food was sublime - amazing discoveries at every course. We took the fermented juice pairing and enjoyed the majority of the juices - wish I could take some home! The service was attentive, professional... and bilingual! The ambiance left something to be desired, as the place was quite loud, despite the small number of tables, and this made it difficult to hear and understand the description of each course of the blind tasting menu. The major disappointment was... water. Chlorinated, carbonated water that was a total turnoff. No bottled (which I would support for environmental reasons) or filtered options. Even the hot water and lemon we were offered as a substitute retained the taste of chlorine. Hard to fathom considering the level of attention given every other "taste" factor in both dish and beverage creations. For such a niche offering at such a high price point, invest in a water filter. Adding insult to injury was being charged for said water! I don't regret my experience, but I can't say I would go back or recommend it to a friend.
A unique experience for food lovers. Some great choices on their tasting menu, such as the daikon, the little sandwiches. Service was impeccable and well timed. Love the concept and would recommend
