In a word... Meh.The restaurant itself is nice, service was friendly, food was average. One thing to remember is that this is a hotel restaurant, so the prices are ridiculously expensive. $16 for 8 small wings (with very little sauce).If you're in Oshawa, there are much better places to go to watch sports; and you'll get bigger portions and better pricing.
We've been to Wendels 3 times prior to this afternoon and all was good. Never an issue. Good food, good service, lovely.... so we decided to go again this afternoon and wow,,,, What the heck happened?We went in and were told to sit wherever. After trying 5 tables, (all dirty) we found a spot. The bar was empty but was littered with dirty glasses and leftovers from previous customers... and it stayed that way thru out our visit. We ordered wings and perogies, no onions. The wings were dried out and old. Like chicken jerky. We asked for Creamy Garlic dip and recieved a cup of melted butter with garlic. When we asked about it theysaid that was the sauce. It wasn't the sauce, we've eaten there before and knew what the sauce was supposed to be . They did take the wings off and redo the perogies but we left hungry. Never again.
I really wish that my experience was like my previous experiences at other locations. I'm not really going to waste my time typing out my grievences in detail. What I am willing to say is that I was disappointed from the initial phone call making simple inquiries, to the way the patrons were shoveled out the door when the bartender decided it was time for them to go home. Trust me there's more but it's not worth my effort.Wendel, wow you were my hockey hero and I hold you in such high regard. Perhaps you may want to consider doing the same for your fans by holding the restaurant bearing your name to a higher standard.
I just couldn't believe it, I'm also going to post on my webpage !!!!I ordered a cob salad, first they put the dressing in the sale prior to eating it & I don't like alot of dressing. Lettuce underneath was soggy, Chicken I showed the waitress I tapped on side of plate was dry & hard. So many bacon bits like Costco bacon bites.( Horrible) So my $20 salad 3 out of 10Jerry ordered wings so over cooked - dry showed the waitress she agreed very over cooked. She didn't bring it out to us so she didn't see this over cooked mess. What was the cook doing outside having a smoke lol joke !! There was only 3 tables eating when we got here not like they were busy.Be back- nope !!! Sorry Wendle I think unless your drinking & not care about the food then your ok.Im sober & gagging
No photos sorry food was soo good they accommodated us and we were a last minute large group in town for a hockey tournament.Staff and owner Rick were on point friendly knowledgeable and they went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience there. If you haven't been go check it out you won't regret it
Alyssa was great! She was our server 2 nights in a row with our girls hockey team and she is the best server I have seen!! She is personable and remember all of us the second night! I can’t say enough about Alyssa!!

Very clean restaurant, especially with new sanitary conditions. Food was great and servers were spectacular. I had one gentleman with glasses at the bar go above and beyond with customer service. You’ll definitely see us again.
First time at WC. Definitely not the last. Our waitress/Server was Absolutely Fantastic. Our food was Absolutely Fantastic. Portions were Absolutely Fantastic. We will be back for sure next time we are in town.FYI Top Shelf chicken sandwich is a must. WowAtmosphere and decorated walls are awesome for all sports fans.If your looking for a great place to take the Family this is the place.
Hosted a party with 24 people at Wendel Clark’s Oshawa. The food was great, drinks were cold, service was fantastic. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a good time at reasonable prices.Well done!
