We went for $10 pasta Sunday’s as I do quite often. We got there to find out the price had raised from $10 to $14 and with inflation a rise in cost is to be expected but I found $4 steep for a special. We asked the lady when it happened and she said this week and I vocalized how I felt it was steep and she replied “Well I don’t make the menu” and then asked where we want to sit and we decided we were going to go elsewhere and she said “Actually? It’s only $2” which for two dishes it is $8 which is almost another meal. For someone with those math skills you think they’d be nicer at their job to make up for the lack of common knowledge. Once of my families favourite restaurants but will be taking a break during the near future.
Cold Beer garlic bread needs some garlic. Lovely patio and greatservice from staff, with a great smile.
Service was slow. We had Fish and Chips and for the first time it wasn't great. The Fish was OK but not as good as it used to be, but they have changed their Chips, they are very thin and over cooked and not edtable, they were always great just like at home in the UK. I always told people that they were the best in town but not anymore. Disappointed.
drinks were terrible and was charged for a drink that had no carbinaruin because tank was empty I guess she forgot to take it off my bill Have to say we didnt feel welcome at all by bartender, felt like an inconvenience
Attended on St. Paddy's day with 4 of my friends. Waitresses were very attentive. Dan Clancy's one man band played all day and played songs from all genres. Food was of course pub food but didn't disappoint. My wings were bigger then most pubs and were not undercooked as many cooks do rush orders out because of large crowds ordering food.Exited to the patio later on as the weather was 17°C and beautiful. Service was as good inside as it was out on the patio. Accommodating to a large capacity. My first but not last time I'll visit the Waltzing Weasel as it was bigger then expected and highly recommended!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating
It maybe ok as a pub but…we ordered the scotch pie and the seafood po’boy. Obviously no one knows what a po’boy is. It was seafood salad on a burger bun. The scotch pie had been over-heated in the microwave to the point where the bottom of the pie was rock hard. Pointed it out to the waitress. Told her it had been over-heated in the microwave and she said she didn’t think so. In that case there was something else terribly wrong with it. Didn’t get it off my bill or even a discount on it. Luckily I don’t have to go back there.
Food was good. Several things on menu you would not find elsewhere. Service was good as well.
Great food and service what more can you ask for
Yesterday evening we visited this place, and we were very excited to enjoy the Friday, but while waiting for someone to show us the table, we felt an act of racism towards us by the server lady. The lady who came to us scanned us top to bottom weirdly. That was ok considering we are expecting a baby soon so that may attract some attention, but then she said the place was at full capacity, and it clearly wasn’t. Also, 5 people just left the place in front of us so obviously, there was a place for us to accommodate. The lady said it will take 25 mins to get us a table, we said we are ok to wait. But then, she just left, without taking our name or number to let us know. She didn’t want us to be there. We left the place. We felt very bad about it. This is the first time we faced such a thing in Canada, and this experience ruined our Friday for us. Hope the management takes some action on this.
Spent $50 ordering from your restaurant I got the Philly Melt and with 1/2 the sandwich the beef was dry and overcooked and the other half the beef was burnt and dried out and I wasn't able to eat it
