I had an amazing experience at this location tonight. I am a celiac so ordered 1/4 chicken and coleslaw as a side. I told the server, celiac, no bread or gluten please. The manager came out with an allergy guide to go over what I ordered and proceeded to tell me they had a DEDICATED FRYER for the fries. I quickly changed my coleslaw to fries! It was so nice to be treated so seriously and made for a worry free meal. I'll be going back soon.
This place is frozen in time. Nothing has changed in 10yrs except for the food quality. The place is run down and in bad need of some upkeep. Food portion is definitely smaller and my daughter ordered corn as a side in her kids meal and received what seemed like an entire can of corn on her plate and it was inedible. Didn't have crayons, didn't have the iconic dirt & worms desert which was unfortunately the whole reason we went. Swiss Chalet is one step above a fast food place, so you don't expect fine dining but it's definitely been better
I tried to go once a month I love the place it's close to home the people are very friendly and accommodating and the food is always delicious I always get the pot pie and it's always too perfection
Ordered three rib dinners and a half chicken. Missing an extra order of fries and all of the sauces. Coleslaw had seen better days (was marked Sunday and we ordered on a Sunday so I assume it was a week old). Fries were old and reheated, ribs were so thin and so dry, like jerky, my kids (who ask for them every meal) wouldn’t eat them. My husband had a hair stuck on his chicken wing.
HiI placed an order yesterday March 1 around 17:00 hour , when I picked the order and got home we ordered a family pack with extra sauce, I got home and opened the bag to find out that the chicken was black very well over barbecued , i my Fay was very hungry we ate and not to long later I had a diarrhoea same with my wife, this never happened in the past , we always happy with the Swiss chalet business

Our first venture out, my 90 year old mom and I (she loves Swiss Chalet), post covid this round! We were hesitant and always play it safe especially in light of her age but, like everyone else, it had been so long and my mom just wanted to get out for a meal. The food was subpar with a tough chicken leg and a Caesar salad drowning in dressing. Mentioning it to the server was met with a shrug. The worst part though was having a family of four seated in the empty booth beside us. I realize restaurants are at now at allowed full capacity however, it is still early and some patrons, including us, are still cautious when it comes of indoor dining. A mostly empty restaurant and being seated in a booth away from the only other patrons in our section made us feel comfortable. I asked the server why we were not spaced out in light of all the empty booths. She asked if it made me uncomfortable to which I replied “yes”. She responded with “we are full service now” and walked away. I did not pursue it further because my mom does not like it when I make a fuss. All in all I am disappointed to say the least and, despite being a long standing customer at this location, I will not be bringing my mom back to this restaurant.
At a time when our family needed it most, Pat the manager of this location came through with sympathy and compassion and allowed us to host a post-funeral reception for my father at this restaurant. Our group of approx 60 guests were seated in the back area and attended to by two wonderful servers who were attentive, friendly, efficient and accurate. The entire staff at Swiss Chalet treated us with the utmost grace and courtesy and we couldn't have hoped for a better reception. Our guests were all very pleased with the service and with their meals. We will definitely be back and plan to spread the word that this location is a must to book for future parties and occasions.
Tip. Buy a whole chicken family deal. So much cheaper and they cut it up too. There is deal as well Get the seasoned fries as well so much better
Excellent evening as normal. Kelsey our waitress was fab, especially when she had to come tell us they ran out of chicken (white meat). Always good food and service.
