I love this place. I’ve been coming since ~2009. I’m pretty basic with my sushi orders but every roll I’ve had from here is fantastic. I mostly get takeout nowadays but it’s still delicious. Pic attached is my sushi…’s empty container. Couldn’t stop eating it!
Went there with my family just yesterday at 5pm, which was strangely empty (I guess the restaurant mostly do takeouts nowadays). The food came at very reasonable times and they were of high quality. No outstanding orders. It has pretty much everything you can expect from an all you can eat sushi place. My one criticism though is that the karaages were too small and didn’t seem to be done in an authentic way (me and my mother both laughed when we saw the karaages because it was just done badly). In the future would definitely visit this place again if I ever want some sushi in my area. I only went there yesterday and I already miss their food.
Slowest service I've ever encountered. They fill you up with all the other things first before serving you the sushi and sashimi. It used to be one of my favorite spots but sadly they have let it go. I'm a huge sushi fan and was very disturbed with their way to fill you up. Not worth the 40 dollars for all you can eat. It's a huge no from me.
I have been to this place over the years. I brought colleagues there and friends. I eventually cut through to know them well as I ordered regularly over the years. One night I ordered delivery as I was not well and my sashimi came with very little wasabi so I called and was treated poorly from the co-owner who knew me well and she said I could drive there and pay for more wasabi and she was ignorant after me being there for years. Customer service means nothing to them so me and my friends will never go back. Shame on them during difficult times for local businesses I always support. This is not the first review of how rude they can be. They lost a lot of business but I wish them well but will never go back as loyalty means nothing and they don't care about customer service.
Went here to order sushi to go.Listened to the lady repeat my order twice to the chef as she punched in the price. After paying for our order we sat and waited for a few minutes then the lady says she undercharged us and still owe an additional $20. Which was outrageous and she demanded we pay now. refused to acknowledge the additional money owing didn’t add up. Before entering the restaurant I looked up and added the cost before hand and what was paid already exceeded the anticipated amount.The lady took great defence to being called out for being a liar. Twice she repeated the entire order out loud and I was shocked when she outright denied doing so. the lady refused to listen and would talk over you and interrupt you constantly. She would raise her voice if you tried speaking to her. Eventually I had to raise my voice to be heard but I that just made her louder.I don’t understand why she wouldn’t stop talking for a moment to find a solution to her error but wasted time arguing to deny full responsibility for her mistake and wouldn’t listen anyone.Wouldn’t refund either, She ruined my appetite being so volatile, she was so loud and seemed to have issues with communicating to people with respect.She also held food hostage unless we paid the extra $20. Then eventually gave up her fight and let us leave with our food.When I left with the food I later realized she took out food we were charged for. My mistake leaving so quickly without looking in the bag to see if she tampered with it. I just wanted to get away from the yelling. I doubt she would have gave us our paid for food if I called her out.The cashier is a liar, unprofessional and a thief.Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had.
Osaka Japanese restaurant in Oshawa ruined my birthday, after paying the cashier lady for our food she repeated twice out loud before paying. She demanded we pay an additional $20 for our order for items she claims she forgot and didn’t call out despite being heard by two people and then proceeded to interrupt me when I explained her mistake and the price she claims didn’t add up. Our order was small and already exceeded the expected cost anticipated. Every time I tried to speak she would raise her voice and speak over me. Took great defence to being called rude and a liar when I did get heard eventually. Denied even repeating my order out loud twice, gaslighting me. Unbelievable and wouldn’t refund our order since being denied our food we paid for half an hour after it was made. Sat there being yelled at for half an hour in two languages before she decided to take out food from my order she felt wasn’t paid for. Two cucumber rolls don’t add up to 20 bucks. She refused to listen to anyone and when it was mentioned it was my Birthday and her yelling isn’t helping anyone, she got even more hyped and louder. Stole from us and lied about prices and refused to compromise or find a resolution other than gouging us for twice the money. Didn’t feel safe eating the food after her handling it and walking from front to back with our food couple times while being withheld. Claims they don’t know how to refund food and denied being rude as she continued to raise her voice more. Ruined my appetite and felt abused by her. I advised to never go unless you want unnecessary drama and to be ripped off.
Smaller protein portions this order, but with lockdown it's absolutely understandable. What they didn't decrease was their flavor and quality. Such a great dinner and appreciated the fresh wasabi (we like it kickin'). Definitely our go to for sushi! ?
I am obsessed with their sushi! Amazing and great prices. The couple/family who run it are really nice. Been ordering online a lot bc ill be devastated if they dont make it through the pandemic!!
The food is salty, also the sushi is looks like buy from normal supermartket and sell it. Tofu in the soup is so small. When I look up on google it’s showing that this restaurant is opening to eat inside but when we come, only pick up and take out.
My most favourite sushi to get delivery from, in the past year for probably food there 10+ times. I find that the quality is good compared to other sushi place in the area.
