Come in with two kids, ready to blow $30 on ice cream you hope the staff is receptive and can smile, it's a bit deal for them after all. Promised all afternoon. Nope, crusty as hell and both looking miserable. Sorry to have bothered you. Oh and how do you not have crumble?
A man there, I assume the owner, is so rude. To go along with his attitude, he made one of the 3 cones we ordered and it was NOT made with love :) The girl working there was very nice to deal with. Probably won't be going back.
The selection was good and the staff friendly and personable. Unfortunately that's where the good parts end. The manager of the establishment keeps the tips from the workers and skips to customers in line he has relations with. He skipped over myself and my roommates for a woman he then left the store with into an unmarked car only to return some time later. Although I may like the ice cream, I cannot support his buisness practices and treatment of his staff.
Owner is sooo rude. Wonder if it's the same guy who bought ajax location. I've been living in the neighborhood behind the store for over 15 yrs and guess what, since he purchased this store and I had a couple of bad experiences I NEVER GO BACK.Looks like oshawa location went downhill too.Not getting my money. I'll make icecream at home. Shame on you for being so unpleasant and ill mannered!!An icecream parlor is suppose to bring smiles and joy and looks like all you know how to do is make it a bad experience while you argue about every little cent. No blessing in this attitude.
I dealt with the slim tall man (owner) twice and he will not get another penny from me. He is rude and miserable, gave me a prolonged nasty look that I ended up buying ice cream just for my kids and not myself knowing this is the last 30$ for overpriced ice cream that I will ever pay for. I’ve been going there for years but his attitude is unacceptable . It’s supposed to be a fun experience to go out for ice cream but unfortunately not at this location.
The man working here was so rude. We were excited to get ice cream on a hot day and he totally ruined the fun experience! Enough to make me leave a review. I asked when ordering how the system worked because I had never been to a MS before. He just stared at me for a second then walked away. I was confused so when he came back I asked again and he just stared at me again. I thought maybe he couldn’t hear me so I just picked a flavour. When we got to the toppings I asked “how many toppings can I add?”. Same reaction. I looked at my husband dumbfounded and then asked again. He said “whatever”. Still confused I said, “I can pick as many toppings as I want?”. He just stares at me. Such an uncomfortable feeling in front of many other customers and I felt like I was being such a nuisance for not knowing how ordering worked despite there being zero signs to say unlimited toppings. I read other reviews and it’s overwhelming how terrible this man is to everyone clearly. At least it wasn’t just me? But we will absolutely never be back. Definitely don’t bring kids here. What a horrible place!
We used to love this place, always big portions and friendly staff.I don't know if new owners have taken over or not but it's a totally different experience now.Went today with mu daughter, and to start:Missing about 25% of the flavors.Considerably smaller portions.Cones were stale, chewy and limp (not even sure how that's possible).Staff were all rude, especially the okder male who refused to were gloves when handling food.Prices were increased despite the smaller portions.The debit machine is set up to force tips, no option for no tip. Just comes up 1-% 2-$. Regardless of what you choose, you can't enter 0, minimum tip is set for #1 at 10% and gives uo from there.No napkins were given at all. Nit even the ones that usually are wrapped around the cone.In the end I paid $20 for 2 regular cones with a forced tip for bad service.No toppings or Dips.That was my last time there. Never going back.Back to Baskin Robbins I guess.
My wife and I decided to go for ice cream tonight when we walked in they were talking which is fine but as soon as they saw us they gave us a dirty look one ran to the back while the other served us we could hear the one that went out back on the phone to the owner saying they didn't change the hours online and people are still coming in it wasn't even 9pm and the open sign was on and doors were open. I asked for a milk shake they had already put the blenders away so she rolled her eyes and went and got one another couple walks in the other girl comes out no one has asked my wife what she wants and skips to the next couple my shake was more like milk then a milk shake so long story short we will not be going her again till new owner ship and hope it's better
Someone who appeared to be the owner/manage was working behind the counter with a worker who appeared to be new. The new girl was nice and friendly. However I saw the owner/ manager serving ice cream without any gloves on and I was a little grossed out. Luckily I got the new girl who was wearing gloves and had great customer service skills.Word to the wise: check if your server is wearing gloves.
Extremely disappointed in how I was treated at this location. I’ve never complained a day in my life on google but this I was not going to ignore. Today I walked into the store around 2:25 to just get some ice cream. I have a nut allergy and I’ve been here multiple times and have been treated and helped amazingly but today that was not the case I explained I have an allergy and they always use different utensils and mix my ice cream on a different board to eliminate cross contamination. And yess I know it’s not guaranteed there won’t be any contamination. The gentleman rolled his eyes when I asked to use different utensils. Went and got a cutting board but continued to use the same utensils in the water that they must have been using all day. So of course I asked and he continued with a extremely rude attitude and said I have not sold any nuts today. I felt like I was asking too much even though I could potentially die and yes I take the risk but they have always taken all protocols to make sure there is no contamination but this gentleman truly did not care !! I will never be coming back to this location again. You have lost a very loyal customer
