food was good but it is so expensive that it will be a long time before I return. why do I have to have one hundred characters I am very brief.
Great hospitality and customer service starting from the front, the usher, to the staff in the room and up to the server in the buffet table. They greeted me and served with a smile and was attentive to the needs of their guests despite the busy hours. They have prine rib and beef eye in the dinner buffet table. They also have different dessert and no added sugar cheesecake and ice cream but unfortunately by the time I finished my main course the cheesecake with no added sugar was finished so I am not sure how it taste like. In my opinion, the dessert and some of the dishes are too sweet to my taste. The creme brulee was sweet too but it taste good. The ambiance is great, I like how they decorated the receiving area in the front.
Absolutely love going to the Oshawa Mandarin location. The food is always so fresh and they always have a huge variety of healthy choices for us. There are a few staff members I must give thanks to, Ariel, Elinda (grill/pizza station), Yen, and Fiona. These ladies are super lovely and always a pleasure to see everytime we visit. Sometimes we visit once a week because we enjoy it that much. Elina always has the biggest smile on her face waiting to serve us with fresh pizza for the kids and delicious spinach on the flat top. We love to joke around with her as well. Ariel knows us so well that she has our drinks orders memorized for both before and after dinner. She takes her time with us and is so personable with us that she makes us feel like family. Yen and Fiona are so friendly as well and take care of us making sure we have everything we need. Thank you so much to those ladies who take such amazing care of us. To all the complainers out there, just be patient especially when you go on a busy day, be friendly and treat others how you want to be treated and only then will you enjoy your time...remember they could close down and then you will have nothing to complain about.
A new visit to this very good restaurant. Glad that the Buffett is back to its usual quality. Variety of food items continues to be great! The staff as usual were very attentive and responsive to our needs. In particular, I want to mention Maggie who was prompt at delivering drinks, taking used plates away, and so on. She was great! Will return for sure.
Went there to celebrate Father's Day. Booked table ahead of time. Still waited 30 minutes on insanely crowded lobby. After that no service, no pleasant atmosphere ( tables are so close to each other that you can not move not to touch your neighbor) and the most important NO FOOD! That is restaurant, people come there to EAT. Never again going to this location. Absolutely unacceptable!
We absolutely love coming to Mandarin in Oshawa. The variety of food at the buffet is just perfect, with many healthy choices. We really enjoy this location because of the staff. I would like to recognize 2 staff members who always make our visit memorable. Ariel is just wonderful as she goes above and beyond to ensure we are well taken care of. She knows we always like to start off with a cocktail and offers us any new featured drinks. She know we love to end off with tea and coffee as well. She jokes around with my kids and she always makes us feel like family. We also enjoy meeting Lynda at the grill station every time we visit. She is always smiling and always has fresh pizza ready for my kiddies. She is such a pleasure to see everytime we come also making sure we have everything we need. Food was great, very flavourful. Whole place was clean, and spaced. Haven’t been since before the pandemic, but was really happy with the staff and the cleanliness. Prices are a little higher than I expected going back, but the food was even better than I remembered. So it was worth it.

I love the Mandarin and the food coma that comes with it. I'm only giving 4 stars due to our last visit.A woman had two children with her and the children were throwing their food all over the place while the mom was laughing. I felt this was disrespectful to the servers and the people that had to clean it up.We asked the server to put us in another room and she did, which is fine, but never confronted the lady and her children who were wasting food, being absurdly loud and with a whatever attitude.Not cool. Call the manager if you can't handle the situation as everyone in that room was turning their head to gawk at the disturbance.Customer service 101. Not all customers are good for your business and this location had likely alienated about 30 customers that day.
