What a fall from the top, totally empty when I walked in lol not a good sign! Burger was $13.. tasted on par with McDonald’s or BK.. ouch!! They used to be so damn good when they opened too ? oh well, won’t be returning with those prices and quality! Service was good tho!
I’m pleasantly surprised! I have stopped having fast food as I am no longer able to digest processed low quality ingredients. However, a close friend kept insisting to try five guys. And I’m glad I did!If you’re looking for decent quality, quantity and fair prices, than visit this establishment. Specially the Oshawa store as it is clean and has super friendly and fast employees!
Stingy on the meat and even more stingy on the toppings. Overpriced and they even cheap out on the fries. Been here once because a coworker owed me a lunch. I absolutely hate burger joints that prop themselves up as premium like this place. I hope the temporarily closed is permanent. I drive by this place everyday before the lock down and it pleases me that it's always empty.
The 4.2 rating had me a bit concerned but thankfully the concern wasn’t warranted. There aren’t many Five Guys near be but I was in the area and figured I’d see how it compares to the Kingston location. The burger was excellent. It was also not busy at all, by the time I got my burger I was the only one in the store despite it being 5pm. Friendly staff as well. Don’t forget to ask for extra bacon and cheese, it’s free!
Ordered a veggie sandwich with cheese on Skip the Dishes. Modified it to include mayo and mustard. Nowhere on StD does it say that if you modify to add condiments you also have to select the veggies instead of just getting them like you would if you didn’t modify. When I called the store to complain, the manager basically said there was nothing they could do, and basically said it was my fault. Apparently a veggie sandwich with no veggies didn’t warrant a quick phone call to check the order, even though it sounds like this has happened before from how easily he explained it away. Manager said he couldn’t get it redelivered, even though I have had other restaurants offer to do that with Skip the Dishes orders that have been messed up. Like, who would pay seven bucks plus tax, tip, and delivery for a bun with mayo and mustard? So yeah, won’t be ordering there again. Too bad, it’s a good sandwich that I would have put into my regular orders.
Decent burgers and fries. Grilled onions weren’t really grilled and bacon was rock hard. Order was ready in time.They overdo the Cajun seasoning on the fries though.
Ok, so this is my first time at five guys. Walked in, the girl at the cash was very nice. We ordered two cheeseburgers with bacon and a regular fries to split. We looked for a table to sit down at, but they were all dirty. After walking from table to table, looking for a clean one, one of the staff from behind the counter came out and cleaned up a table for us. Very nice.Went to use the washroom while we were waiting, and wish I hadn't. It was disgustingly dirty and grossed me out before my meal. The whole place really needs a deep clean, it was looking kind dingy to be honest.Our bugers came out and were good, except for the bacon, it tasted like it was cooked way earlier in the day and was all dried out and not fresh. I was hoping for better, but the meat was good!I'd go back I'd they cleaned the place up a bit, but I probably won't be back to this location unless it's for takeout. Definitely would try another location if there was one close..
If you remember Licks Burgers, this is the best replacement if you don't want to drive to Parry Sound. Large, delicious, messy, loaded with the toppings you select, accompanied by amazingly delicious fries, these burgers are a feast. Friendly staff, quality products and an easily accessed store make this my new go-to burger shop. Come hungry, leave happy!
Here's a tip! If you charge $20 for a meal. Cook the frys through, if you smell raw potato it's not done... if you burn a whole batch of bacon don't serve it!!! My frys were under cooked and the burger was not edible due to burnt taste of nasty bacon.I would go back and have it done agian but, it's a snow storm and I would rather just never be a customer agian.
One of my favourite places for a burger and fries because of the consistency and quality. I’d recommend the Cajun seasoned fries or ask for seasoning on the side. The malted milkshakes are amazing and not easy to find. They offer an option for a lettuce bun (extra charge) too which I love and the staff are always kind and prepare my order well. ?
