Pork fried rice was okay but the szhezhuan chicken was full of vegetables and the sauce was very sassy… had no taste in it.But look at the size of the broccoli ?.. don’t you have a knife to cut it down???? Won’t go again
I rarely if ever order food for delivery, and really can't remember the last time I ordered Chinese Food , but recently my friend suggested we try some just for a change. We randomly chose Family Wok, as it was the closest nearby restaurant. We ordered 5 separate items and were pleased with the quantity and quality of the food and it was delivered in under 45 minutes . I would order from them again in the future.
The food wasn't very good. The sweet and sour chicken balls tasted weird. The sweet & sour sauce & lemon sauce were both cold, every other Chinese restaurant I have ordered from has sent warm sauce. The lemon chicken (if it was even chicken) was mostly breading & barely any "meat" inside. Will not order from Family Wok again.
I am always getting delivery from this restaurant. They are my favorite eatery. Tysm for being there. Highly highly recommend. Good food...high quality A+++
I tied this place for the first time on Christmas Day 2021. I thought it wound be good since they are so busy all the time. The food was ordered online and was ready on time . Brought the food home and it looked delicious. We started to eat our food and once my daughter had her 2nd helping of rice she found a cockroach in it. I’m so glad I ordered plain rice. Otherwise we may not have seen it. Disgusting ! Please do not eat here. The part that freaks me out is…. If they saw it would have they just scooped it out??
Seriously, avoid this place. I didn't experience anything harmful but I was shocked at how they take your hard-earned money for meat dishes and serve you a whole lot of filler and a surprisingly small about of meat. We ordered two different meat dishes and both were basically 90 percent celery and other inexpensive vegetable fillers. We've probably all experienced something like this before but this was extreme.
I just order what was once my regular order of steamed pork buns. What I got was some sort of sad log shapped undercooked chewy pork monstrosity. Very dissatisfied sadly I don't think ill be ordering from here again.
Food was not very tasty.-Steam dumplings had raw pork not cooked on the inside-chicken dish were mostly fake chicken mixed in with few pieces of real chicken.There price reflects the level of there food pay a little more a buy somewhere else.

I am a resident of Oshawa for 37 years. The reviews of this place that are negative...IGNORE THEM!! Really. I am very picky about what I feed to my family, and myself, and can honestly say... THE *FOOD HERE WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST I'VE HAD IN OSHAWA FOR YEARS! I am of Italian heritage, and we know food. I DON'T buy take out as a general rule, being able to cook quite well. Chinese food, whether Canadian or authentic, I can't cook, and ALWAYS SPLUGE FOR it to be delivered. Tonight I was so pleased with the quality, taste, and freshness of the food...I just couldn't resist to comment, as well as calling back the owner to tell them how happy I genuinely was. The staff who placed my order, and the person who delivered it-VERY VERY NICE, and willing to please their customer! I ordered their sweet and sour platter-DELICIOUS! The egg rolls-perfectly cooked! The won ton soup-very flavourful! The plain lo mein was so tasty, nobody realized it contained no meat until I mentioned it! Their Pad Thai- was PERFECTLY SEASONED, and not too spicy that my kids wouldn't eat it. Deep fried shrimps-FRESH AND DELICIOUS, as well as the pork ribs! The rice-was NICE!..even the simplest thing..sweet and sour sauce WAS THE BOMB! Even my 28 year old daughter, who always wants a combo dinner to escape up to her bedroom to eat in peace away from her other siblings, came running downstairs to see if there was anymore Pad Thai left AFTER DEVOURING her entire C2!..lol. This is the first time I have ordered from the Family Wok...and it certainly won't be the last! I have bought my Chinese food on a regular basis from the Hong Kong House on Simcoe St. S. for over 33 years, and as soon as the owner changed, the place really took a turn for the worse. A new beginning here for my family and myself has begun, and I couldn't be more satisfied :). Usually we do have leftover from Chinese delivery..NOT TONIGHT! Everything got gobbled, right down to the dry chow mein noodles and fortune cookies! Even the cookies were great...mine said "You will enjoy a wonderful evening"..lol..and I DID! Thank you Family Wok! You made our night, and no dishes OR complaints!..a truly WONDERFUL night indeed! *Large portions AND economically priced!
