Worst experience ever smh! So I ordered the bogo donair plate. The meat is hard and dry! Drenched in sweet sauce that I did not ask for nor does it show in the picture they advertised! And the fattoush salad is old and taste like blue mold!!! cold potatoes and tasteless! I ended up having to cook dinner, this was not edible!
Very friendly, not creepy, and chicken is juicy! My go to place in Ottawa for shawarma.I can't say I've had the best experiences at shawarma places in general with the creepy jokes, comments, and forced conversation - but this place has been great to me! Friendly in a non-creepy way.I find the portions are very general and the food is fresh. The prices are reasonable.I assumed from every single other shawarma experience I've had that the meat was always going to be dry due to the spits they have the meat spinning on - but here the chicken is very juicy and fresh! I will continue to come back here when I am craving shawarma.The large baklava I purchased was pretty standard - from Montreal. It wasn't bad but I wish it had a bit more honey.
Went to the (waters rd) location tonight, the guy (Marroush) was welcoming, funny, and very happy overall we had a great conversation. Food was amazing, fresh and tasty. He gave me a nice portion of food!Never had a bad experience at either locations.
Just had one of the best times at The King! I cant remember the name of who made my sandwich but he is a legand! I was at the location in orleans. Keeps you smiling and on your feet the whole time your there and you are guaranteed to leave with good food and a smile on your face. He even gave me a little extra taste of some meat with his special sauce on there and let me tell you. Its special!! You can not go wrong here
I order the bogo but I didnt get the second free item. I called the restaurant and the man who answered the call, Gheese, was extremely rude and said too bad. He wouldnt let me talk to the manager and wouldnt talk to the manager himself. Then when I tried to ask him how this can be fixed he hung up on me.The portion of the food I did get was disgusting and definitely not fresh. The potatoes were cold, the falafel was cold and very dry, and the garlic sauce was chunky.Please avoid.
Food is very good but very rude service and very expensive price in tenth line but I went to other location in Ogilvie I love it expensive price same b.. the service is 1 very funny I love it
Not sure if new management, but food seems much better. Chicken is juicy and the pickled turnips are great!
Staff members not wearing masks or having them fully moved of their face onto chin on multiple occasions. Even when the store is busy they will not put them on.It’s not that I care so much about masks.It’s that if they are so willing to violate public health and safety infront of a customers.What do they do when preparing the food when no one is around
Accidentally gave a wrong one star review to this King Shawarma location last night after having a poor experience at a different location. I went in to this one today and it was quite lovely. My apologies.
The garlic sauce is really great here, but that’s unfortunately it. The hummus has little to no taste - I’ve had better hummus from the grocery store. The meat was very crunchy and dry. Lettuce in the sandwich was brown, too.
