The reason I gave them a three star rating is because of their friendliness. The owners and staff are efficient and polite, but not friendly. I have been multiple times, and I am yet another client paying money at their business. They don't smile, say hello or say welcome back. I am a no one. I like businesses that are more personable. I have been to lovely coffee shops, restaurants, etc. in smaller towns, and other patrons/owner would sit down at your table and chat or at least talk to you about more that what you were ordering. Here, not happening. Interesting that other reviews state (from staff that the owner is friendly), yet rude to customers, cold, and occassionally heard yelling at staff members? I think not, no matter how ones day is going. Super unprofessional! One cannot be friendly, kind, and a wonderful person yet cold, rude, and short with customers. You are either a great person, and a people person or not. This shows through in one's personality, and is sincere. Yet the food and drinks are amazing with many windows, a bright space in a lovely relaxing atmosphere. I would go more often, but I have decided to search out a friendlier place, and spend my money elsewhere.

Ive come here twice. The first time was good got a pastry and a coffee and service was fast when it was busy. But today, not busy at all, I got a sandwich after waiting 20 minutes for it!! My friends got their sandwich and crepres, the girl specifically said "your sandwich will be right out". I waited 15 minutes after that and they found the ticket and realized it wasn't made right when I went to the counter. I just wish I got a "I'm so sorry". They actually did apologize when they brought the food to me but she left before I could respond. It was made quickly, tasted good but missed my cheddar cheese, I went to the counter to ask for it but they seemed busy looking at the wall and talking and I didn't want to intrude. The sandwich tasted really good though. The drink coffee and canolli from before were good.

I have seen a lot of recommendations to try this place but, at least for their bakery options, I would say it's just okay. The price is high for a cheesecake and a croissant and they were not very memorable. Also for the bakery case, it would be helpful for each item to have a little sign in front of it saying what it was (and with the price). I thought this place would be good but it was a let down.

I have been going here for many years now and it is one of my most favorite places. The food is always fresh and delicious. The dessert selection is incredible and I have never been disappointed with my selection, although it is definitely hard to choose only one. The staff are friendly and helpful and always willing to answer questions. I recently brought a friend that requires eating gluten free and they were great answering her questions and the gluten free options were also very tasty.

We went one night last weekend after having dinner downtown. It's hard to find cafes opened past 9pm in this city! We got two slices of cake that tasted very fresh. The employee behind the counter answered a couple of questions I had and he was very friendly. I got an espresso that was very tasty! My only negative comment would be that the place was kind of chilly. Maybe because we were sitting in the back by the window, but I was quite cold and had to keep my jacket on. I will still be back though! :)

I used to really like this cafe, but when I went today, none of the staff were wearing masks while handling food. There was also less than a foot of space between the tables and the place was completely full. I turned around and left. I will be spending my money at other local businesses where staff have continued wearing masks out of respect for their customers.

Went with my partner today and was taken aback by the rude interaction with the owner, Sue. As it was our first time there, I had asked her a couple questions about the sweets and coffee. It was like pulling teeth to have her to speak to us. No small talk or even a smile. She pointed to the menu above her head several times when I asked about latte flavourings. Instead of answering the question, she said "Its all right there above me, on the menu". I will mention that it was not a busy time at all. We went on Wednesday at 10am.She was awfully short and impatient with us when asking for our vaccine status proof and ID's as well.Sadly, the cafe atmosphere looked shabby. The self serve counter area for sugar and cream was overflowing with boxes of cardboard and plastic supplies. It looked like a storage room but in public view. Our tiny table was squished in the hallway close to the toilet. We did not feel welcomed and left quickly as overall it was not a pleasant experience. I realize these are stressful times for small business owners but a little friendliness with customers and a tidy up are pretty easy fixes. I do hope this visit was a one off but unfortunately we won't be back to see.

When i went with my friends, i had a wonderful time. However, my one of my friends ordered a lactose-free coffee and they forgot that. Also, my other friend got a hair in his sandwich ?. The staff were very quick to correct the mistake!! Hopefully no issues next time around.

staff was very un organized everyone looked lost like they were all on their first day at the job .. me and friend paid for our breakfast and coffee and found a spot to sit all empty tables had dirty plates on them took about 15 min for someone to come and clean it .. we waited 20+ minutes just for our coffees and afterwards to be told after waiting forever that they were out of bacon (theirs a farm boy right beside 1 minute walking distance) my friend had ordered a BLT so they substituted her bacon for cold cut ham ? added THICK CUTS of cucumbers and cheese in her sandwich ? all in all we waited around 1h30 for our food that was very mediocre i do not recommend this place at all and will definitely not be coming back.
