Hamburger Hot Dogs Burgers

We were taken there on our way back from Algonquin to Toronto. Was told it was the ‘thing to do’. Service is non-existent - it’s all about speed and how quickly they can get your order and money. Staff have been trained not to answer customer questions or that’ll just add time to the process line. Go for the experience, nothing more.

I was hopeful after lessons learned during a pandemic that perhaps we could eat at Webers with the assurances of improved hygienic practices. However I watched bare hands handling tomatoes, pickles, every aspect of the food as the burger went down the assembly line in a tight space. Lots of chatter and laughing. Seems like fun place to work but just not my taste in food preparation. Call me a germaphobe if you wish. So many different handlers touching our food with so many people coming and going in line right across the counter. Lots of cross contaminants. Grossed us all out. In fact other patrons around me were also chatting about it but in true polite Canadian style the others must have felt compelled to carry on out of politeness and went through with it. We politely asked for our money back. They were gracious and returned it before our order was processed. Yes they assured they wash hands but too many teenagers were touching their face, dabbing sweat off their brows and then slapping food together. It's a cool concept that they take orders in the lineup and you pay as the line progresses outside. However at the same time you dont realize the food preparation until well after paying as you get a glimpse inside. Then the line moves through so you can watch close up. I suppose it was cool in the day....however nowadays it's just icky. Please wear and change gloves regularly. Even Tim Hortons and Subways and other fast food establishments have adopted that now. Or at least use tongs....times have changed! It's not cool anymore...kinda gross. Each to their own, but we won't be back....

I know many people rave about Webers...and I can see why....it's convenient if you're headed up to cottage country (or leaving cottage country, as I was)...it's fast...it's well priced...but honestly, the burgers themselves are just ok. I had a cheeseburger with everything on it....and it was still dry and bland. The fries are tiny (you need a fork)...the gravy was nice and hot (the burger wasn't). If you want a REALLY good burger, go to Yummy Burger in Waterloo (I've posted a review on them too)...they have the BEST burger there, called, appropriately, the Yummy Burger.

When seeing the line up on the way to the cottage, I just knew I had to try it.The food was a sold 4.5/5Pretty basic but good burger, cheaper and better then A&W burger I had a day before. The service is 5/5 - I even saw the staff handing out umbrellas for people in the line due to rain. That’s good service: the line does move pretty fast so don’t be put off my the line up. There is two lines, please pick the shorter lineThe atmosphere and the eating area is a 5/5.there’s even a cool indoor area inside a converted train passenger carriage. I know I’ll be stopping here every-time i head up north. They even built a walk way bridge for people to park and come from the other side of the bridge Because the place is busy. Overall definitely worth the wait at least once.Place also has a nice Starbucks and Kawartha ice cream

The sitting arrangement and attractive location sets this place apart from any other burger placeOther than that, I did not find anything extraordinary about this place.I had garden veggie burger with all the available toppings. The slice of cheese was completely cold and added no flavour. The bun wasn’t heated up well and all dry. Veggie Pettie was nice which is made of rice, corn etc. you have to eat with ketchup otherwise it will be too dry.Overall very ordinary experience

Best burgers i've ever had in my 36 years of living.anyone who doesn't like it doesn't know what a good burger is.

The choice to stop at Webers or not has always depended on the time for day and length of the line. This iconic restaurant is a favourite for most people as it lets them know they are at or on the way to the cottage. The burgers and fries are great and even with a long line they know what they are doing and take orders and payment while you wait. You have plenty of options on where to sit and eating inside an old train car is always a hit with the kids.

The perfectly choreographed staff, good music and fun atmosphere makes stopping here a must.Don't shy away because of the line-ups. They move quick!Much respect to the staff. Especially, the old guy on the grill. Doesn't matter if he got a raise last week... give him another!

I really don't get the appeal of this place; I think it's got to be more herd mentality driving its popularity over any sort of actual deserved admiration of the food. Had it once and was completely underwhelmed then figured I'd give it a second go now a few years later to see if I misjudged it, but the result was the same.Staff is really upbeat and courteous, and the location and vibe is great, but the food is mediocre at best. I think the highlight is how they somehow manage to infuse extra charbroiled taste into these hamburgers. Beyond that though, from what I can tell the patties are not seasoned in any way, so the meat is a little lacking in flavour.Frozen fries, dry and grainy buns that aren't toasted, limited topping options (including no mayo or hot peppers). I can fully appreciate an uncomplicated burger / I am not expecting a gourmet style burger, but it's so easy to make this better. Sourcing a more appropriate bun and toasting it would probably go a long way. Consider doing a trial where the customer can choose one bun type or another, see what happens. I guarantee whatever the 2nd option is will quickly win out... it couldn't possibly be worse than the current bun.

We can't head north without stopping at Weber's for one of their delicious burger and fries combos. The service is excellent, the staff always friendly and the food is made fresh as it is ordered. The walkway over the highway makes access to Weber's from both sides of the highway. There is indoor dining in an old converted train car as well as plenty of outdoor seating for those that want to eat outside. As soon as you get into line, staff are taking your order and getting it into the queue. We have never been disappointed ❤️
