waited an hour and a half for food. no utensils to take as we had to leave and take food to go. Montreal smoked meat sandwiches had no Dijon. fries were loaded with salt. nothing more than a sorry after an hour and a half of waiting
Great staff, good service, good food, great decor, scenic views. Fun place with a sit at bar as well.
Good food. Menu choices limited. Service was meh.
Ordered the fish and chips but they forgot the tartar sauce and the cabbage slaw. How do you do enjoy fish and chips without the tartar sauce? Their waitress appears to be disorganized. She does not check the completeness and accuracy of the order and make sure every detail is in place. Service is bad. While I don’t question the other reviews here, it was unfortunate that I had to deal with this mediocre service. And when I went back, waitress gave me this tiny piece of cabbage slaw which is probably one bite. Unacceptable.
We found this gem of an establishment late summer 2021 and have visited more than a dozen times since! The atmosphere inside is cozy and full of positive fibes with the live weekend entertainment but the patio feel is pleasant and quiet for a nice daytime meal. Everything we have tried on the menu so far has been professionally prepared and served, we'd recommend to any and all!
Loved the actual restaurant and its atmosphere. We each got a sandwich and fries ("In-house Montreal Smoked Meat & Brisket") The mustard was pretty much the only flavour. The stuff in the squeeze bottle - the side honey mustard never showed up - was about the only flavour for both sandwiches. The fries were the same. Everything, save the beer, was just seriously bland. The surrounding guests appeared to be pleased with their meals, so I'm thinking, just don't order sandwiches or fries. I'll go back, purely for the location and the atmosphere...fingers crossed for the food next time.
Had dinner tonight with my significant other. We started with “Lasagna Soup” and Cheesy Bacon bread, both of which were awesome. Our “mains” were a “Crispy Chicken Sandwich” and “Baby Back Ribs”, which we also thoroughly enjoyed. We didn’t have room for dessert so we passed on that offering. The atmosphere is cool, as it is located on the grounds of a small airstrip. Lots of cool float planes to see.The service was good, the prices were commensurate with quality of the food.We would very likely return.
Thought we'd stop into Tailwinds for lunch one rainy afternoon. It's always a good spot to go in and get warmed up. Nice atmosphere, great staff and delicious food. We both had their home made French onion soup which was great. Lots of perfectly seasoned broth, onions, not too much bread and loads of smooth, melted cheese on top. Shared a side salad which was the perfect amount for the two of us. Prices are good and it's fun to watch the planes come and go. Happy to get a booth too and they're taking care of us by being safe and following all Covid protocols. Love coming here.
Awesome staff and great food
