Our family of 12 had an excellent Dinner. Thanks to Aleshia Hope and Tamara. Thanks for your excellent service.
I can't get enough of this place! I use their app to order and pickup, most of the time, 15 minutes later. Chicken is always delicious. I only wish SC would get bigger chickens. I always feel like I've been served quail. Fries were a little underdone this time but overall I was happy. Staff at the counter were friendly and got my order to me within seconds. Restaurant is always clean and there is lots of free parking available.SC loses a star for undercooked fries (common issue) and small (micro) chickens.
This restaurant is not open until 9PM …and I should not have to drive there to find out. How can a restaurant still close at 8PM on a summer weekend? Ridiculous! Not the first time I’ve been dissatisfied with management here.
We visited the restaurant at 12:40 p.m. Sunday, June 5th and unfortunately had a reheated plate of chicken as well as the French fries. This is the third and last time this will be happening to us. We waited until 12:40 thinking all the reheated chicken left over from Saturday’s dinner hour would have been served to other folks but I assume you weren’t busy enough for that. I wish I could add a picture here - the wing was solid black and basically uneatable. This happened to us once at 3:00 in the afternoon so we made a point of never dining at that hour again. Happened again at a later date with us arriving at exactly noon so that was our thinking yesterday to go at the 12:40 time period, again, thinking all the leftover chicken from the previous night would have been served but no such luck. The second occasion when it happened we had arrived right at opening time and I complained to the waitress as we were paying and her comment was ‘oh, remind me next time your in’ - ya right! We have patronized this location many many many times before Covid and NEVER ever had a problem so what’s happening??
I got the white chicken with ribs with sweet potato fries. Chicken was juicy but not much taste, ribs were good but lacked meat for backribs. My friend order dark meat 1/4 chicken and it was the smallest serving l've ever seen. Baby chicken l guess.I found it expensive for what you receive. I find better value and quality elsewhere.
The best Swiss Chalet. ?. We drive extra distance to go here. I love pickles in general and i am never refused my extra pickles here, other places refuse and I'm willing to pay ( I never expect free anything) and this Swiss Chalet is more than willing and this is the reason I go back. Staff is very friendly with positive vibes.
The Orillia location is the best Swiss Chalet restaurant that I have visited.I have been eating at Swiss Chalet restaurants across Ontario since the mid-sixties, starting with the original Toronto-based location. I only ever eat in, so my rating does not consider the take-out service. The Orillia Swiss Chalet has the right combination of friendly, caring staff and properly prepared meals. The price is reasonable and overall it is a good value experience that meets expectations. The signature Swiss Chalet sauce is always perfect here and the chicken is almost always juicy, with a crispy skin. They have recently improved their little buns and the fries are made from whole potato, and are great. If you are a regular customer, the servers may even remember your 'usual order.'Other Swiss Chalet locations take note, this is how to do it right.
April 2022. Was notnthay busy, no masks required. They were out of the crispy chicken. Tried the fish, it was okay. very thin crispy coating.
The best quarter chicken dinner I’ve had in years! The chalet sauce was nice and thick, veggies perfectly steamed, bun was soft. Server was very pleasant. Pies were delicious. Would return again in a heartbeat.
Came to this location for lunch, it was not busy at all so it was nice as the food came out quick. We were going to eat in but decided to take it out.. The staff and service is very nice and helpful and food came out fast and hot. Had the crispy chicken sandwich.. It was ok.. The chicken was very good.. hot and crispy and juicy in the centre, but the sauce and slaw that was on top did not go well with the sandwich. The sauce seemed like thousand island dressing.. would have the sandwich again with out the sauce and just dip it in the swiss sauce instead.Fries were good but i found there were too short and you can't dip them in the sauce without a fork or even a spoon.. they were that short.
