Everything was soooo friggin delicious. I got the chicken tacos with a side of fries and gravy, my hubby got the ribs, honey garlic chicken wings and onion rings. The ribs were insanely good! I know what I'm getting next time. LoL. The atmosphere was great. The waitress was really nice and the food came out quick considering how many people were there, but perfectly cooked and it looked great. The drinks, I got a strawberry daiquiri and he got a double coke and rum. They were amazing. I will most definitely be coming back here whenever I'm in Orillia. The price for me is way worth it. Everything was killer. ??
Been here before but not for awhile; 6 of us made a reservation early in the morning and ended up wedged into a booth big enough for 4. One in our party ordered chicken in a white sauce which was cooked way too long, almost to the point of the batter being too hard to eat. Another in our party had fish and chips, again cooked way too long. I had chicken fajitas which were good. Server did not ask how the meal was just took the plates away..just an average visit..nothing special for sure..
Service was so slow and it was not busy.I ordered the nachos and they came out cold. I sent them back to be reheated. After waiting another 15 minutes I asked if they were bringing my nachos so they went and got them and they were even colder. Wait staff were standing around chit chatting and forgetting to bring food out. I requested they take the nachos off the bill and they did, so at least that was good.
Popped in for lunch, Ordered the beef rib. The kitchen knew it was smaller than normal, so without asking they offered to make up the size with some wings or pork ribs. Really nice of them to be on the ball like that. My server was a young lady named Tara. Both left me with a positive experience. Everything was cooked really nice.
We have to give a huge shout out to Kirsti, at the Orillia Montana’s. She was hands down one of the BEST waitresses we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was attentive, friendly, funny, and just an all around joy. The food was great but the customer service surpassed everything. Thank you for making our visit great.
I frequent this business 3-5 days a week and it is my favourite go to spot with the family. The service is always warm, welcoming and I’m treated as family.. They greet me with my name, and the servers always make excellent recommendations that I often take. Not to mention they are absolutely fantastic with my children.This industry has been hurt badly the last couple of years and a lot of people are quick to make negative comments publicly without allowing the restaurant a single opportunity to correct it. I am beyond grateful that mine and my family’s favourite restaurant is still still thriving.
I’m going to give 5 stars for the service and for the quality of the food however like everything else it was very expensive. 3 Apps, 2 Beers a Sangria 2 chicken sandwiches and a pulled pork sandwich add a15% tip and that was just shy of a $140.00 for 3 people. It wasn’t even dinner it was a late lunch!I know the restaurants got hit hard because of Covid but who wants to pay or can afford that for a basic lunch?Not impressed at all.
Not a very good experience on the second dinning experience. Started with Antojitos were yummy even Lukewarm. Ordered nachos and cheddar bites, waited for over an hour understandable if it were busy.by the time the nachos came they were burnt and cold, the cheddar bites looked great but cold centers. The waitress was great about the complaint. Offered to remake but we had lost interest by this time she returned with a new order of cheddar bites definitely hot but burnt! All we could do was chuckle, Was not a good birthday dinner.
Have tried the ribs twice now at the Orillia location and they were terrible. Both times with my mom, they were dry and burnt. This was also for my birthday. I phoned the manager to advise him, he was in a rush to get me off the phone, took my name and phone number, said he would call me back, never did, I called him two weeks later, had to refresh his memory as to our most recent experience, he says they can offer me $20 off for next visit. Didn’t have the patience to argue with him. Most likely never to return. The server was so pleasant I left her a $60 tip. Also Mr manager when you say you are going to call someone back make sure you do.
Had the mouth watering Honkin’ Beef Rib with Texas bold sauce and it was delicious. If you’re looking for an idea, try this item for dinner.
