Arrived with no time as my daughter had school upstairs. My daughter has extreme difficulty not being picky, she has a lot of "needs." Everything went so well, and was excellent, service, food quality, timeliness. Two ladies were wonderful and helpful. From outside it looks like a real hole in the wall but inside is roomy enough and very, very well appointed - garnishes, glasses, tableware. Don't know about take-out but highly recommend eating in, and I never give 5.
My husband and I were reluctant to try Pho Mama based on some of the negative reviews. But, a friend - who knows Vietnamese food - recommended the place. We are glad we tried it.I would hazard a guess that Pho Mama is more "Westernized" than the Vietnamese food that some people might be used to, and this is absolutely ok with me. I am very "particular" when it comes to meat - I like it to be lean and cooked through - and the beef that came with my vermicelli satay was just that. I enjoyed every bite.My husband and son split the fried rice with pork and shrimp, and they enjoyed it as well.It is nice to have found another takeout option in Oakville, we will definitely keep Pho Mama on our list.
When I picked up my order from the store, I was surprised at the much higher price (~$10) than what I had calculated. The individual prices were all $2 higher than what's listed on their online website. I feel that the meals are way overpriced, for the quality and little amount of food that is served.Too bad that I read the review by Andrew S. and others just now - and am surprised that Pho Mama didn't even bother updating their prices OR adjusting their portions until now after so many complaints.Pho had only a few slices of meat, Pad Thai was a bit below average.. I had much better ones even at food courts. The attitude of the manager was also not the best. Probably won't be coming back again
This place used to be the best. Great food and great service. Over the last few months of going there regularly. Ive noticed a significant decrease in portion size. 3-4 small pieces of rare beef in the soup when it used to have tons! I really hope they can fix this issue so I can continue to come and support
The worst Pho I have even ate in Canada. Especially the beef, NONE any piece of beef is eatable, they are all as hard as rubber, have to throw away all the beef. I am really curious how they found and cooked those beef.Anyway, I will not order anything in this restaurant. This is based on a takeout order in the Oakville location today. (January 1st, 2022)
Meat wasn't cooked all the way through. It was bright red/purple in the middle. We stopped coming here.
This is a nice, cozy little restaurant. Their pho is yummmm ?. Fresh spring rolls and chicken and rice is delicious ?Comfortable atmosphere. Would recommend.
I dined in the restaurant last week and also did a take out which I felt the servers are not very polite in speaking. Both ladies are defensive in their speech and one lady keeps saying, okay? at the end in a rude tone. The lemon grass chicken dish I ordered had very little meat, almost scrapped meat and the take out that I ordered at the beginning of my meal took another 10-15 min to make after I was finish with my meal. The food was taken to the hospital for family member to find there was no chopsticks to be found. I used to recommend and bring people over to pho mama but lately the service and food quality has been down graded, lacking attention to detail.
Sooo clean, they have this restroom smell like spa and so clean! You can tell a lot about their standard!
Ordered pho and vermicelli, both decent. Beef robs on the vermicelli were a bit unflavored tho. Also ordered fresh shrimp spring rolls and fried frog legs. The latter was amazing! The waitress recommended it with butter and it was surprisingly good!!Waitresses were all very kind and friendly.
