Decent little sushi shop. Standard sushi and lunch menus, taste is regular. Very nice service, clean washroom that also serves as storage room. No complaints but also nothing too special. Lots of people getting take out and the service was very fast.
Lovely experience! Great food and service. Their torched rolls were exceptional. Taking off a star because the salmon sashimi was not very fresh.
Came here for lunch with 2 others, ordered the bento set with beef teriyaki (comes with rice, two nigiri, cali roll, tempura). Overall you get a typical Japanese-Korean experience here with the menu offerings. The waitress started us out with a light salad then miso soup before the bento came out. Its serving size may appear small but it's actually quite filling. Niwa appears to give more tempura which is something I found nice as the tempura was good- the shrimp was sweet and the veggies were crisp and retained their texture well. The sushi pieces were excellent and tasted reasonably fresh. One minor complaint is that the beef teriyaki I had came out cold, but I think they used steak cuts instead of bulgogi/kalbi which was a nice touch. Slightly shocked about that considering everything else was done so well

Their portions is funny, i asked for vegtables they gave me this salad as a full portion and when i asked them again for vegtables they said their vegtable is this salad. I will not order again from this place
I have now eaten at Niwa 5-6 times including take-a-way lunch and just recently a sit-down (Large platter sashimi/sushi/maki combo served on a large wooden boat). Great flavor ! great presentation.... for those looking for quality over an all-u-can-eat, this is the place to go to. Support a small restaurant !
Decent quality but the tako sashimi was only okay for the price. It's a bit expensive. I also ordered the Philadelphia roll which was portioned well. I ordered the Big Dynamite roll as well which was delicious but missing the tobiko. Packaged nicely for take out. I was told 15 to 20 minutes wait time for my order and it was ready in less than 15 minutes. Friendly woman took my order. I'll definitely visit again.
Went here for lunch today and the food was amazing! Service was quick and the atmosphere was nice. Would highly recommend coming here!
Went there for dinner and had their pressed sushi, chicken karage, edamame, and the beef bento dinner (and also some hot sake)! The food was delicious and well-presented! The place was also very reasonably-priced for a sushi place in Oakville! Would definitely come again! ?
We enjoyed our take out from Niwa and will definitely be ordering again!
