This was a very decent Japanese restaurant, it was on the pricey side and I wish they had more hot menu items. My favorite meals weren't there such as chicken karage, katsu chicken and also Curry as well as ramen we're all missing from this menu. My wife being from Japan also really enjoyed this restaurant because she is a big fan of sushi but they didn't have or they were sold out of actually fatty tuna sushi. The staff there are very friendly and professional. One thing I can mention that I really found unique to this restaurant is the fact that there are sake cups that you can purchase at the restaurant and they will keep them there for you and only you can use them when you return to the restaurant. However they didn't have any available for me to purchase when we were there and they said there is a long waiting list.We had a couple of plates of sushi and a couple of appetizers and 1 dessert and that set us back about $100
Highly recommended Japanese food in Oakville by Dundas and Trafalgar. The food is just amazing , the staff (thanks Jhoane!) super friendly and the ambience is very inviting. Let me just say that unlike any other Japanese restaurant, they do not serve your usual cookie cutter salads or desserts. The salads that come with the dishes are just refreshing, the dressing just wakens up you palate. Its like waking them up and getting you ready for a tasty feast. Try the Mo's drunken Chicken for starters, tasty crunchy goodness. The Fried Calamari was the same, fresh and cooked perfectly, not rubbery and just melts in your mouth. I ordered the Ramen with Braised Pork Shoulder and i was happy i did. You can add 5 bucks for an extra slice of pork shoulder but trust me, the original serving is enough already. Also try the Salmon Skin handroll as it compliments the smoky flavor of the pork ramen. For dessert, try the Green Tea ice cream, it is made by them and not grocery bought like other restaurants. I wish they would sell them in pints....its really that good. The Creme Brule is to die for...served in both Matcha and regular custard flavor....with the latter having that zesty aftertaste. Highly recommended and definitely 5 out of 5 stars for me!
Foodie Alert! Recently tried Mye2's Yakiniku Udon soup. It was top notch. The beef was grilled to perfection as were the spring onions layered on top of the soup. Although they were grilled on a gas grill (yes I confirmed this with the waiting staff) the taste had a distinct but subtle charcoal grill flavour. The flavour also was in the broth, which was delicious in its own right. The udon were plentiful and had good amount of squeeky bite to them. All in all a highly recommended noodle experience.
First time ever going and I just walked in and there was a table already set. Pretty nice decoration and nice furniture. The waitresses are very kind and took our orders 2 minutes after we got seated and saw we were ready. Food was delicious, it came within a reasonable amount of time. Overall I will come again
Very disappointed about its service and food quality. We waited more than 15 mins to be seated while the receptionist went to pack the take out for one client. We ordered sashimi dinner sets, the quality was so so given it charged more than $40 per set!
We were recommended to try Mye 2, and we were not disappointed! It was so good that we came two days in a row (from Cambridge)! Everything was fresh and delicious. The Oh! Mye Roll was very very good! We went for lunch the first day and dinner the second.
Poorly run establish and lack communication skills. Waiting over 20 mins for an order placed hours early for a specific time. It would have been nice to know it was going to be 20 mins so we could have waited in the car. Instead they told us to wait in a very small waiting area where you can't socially distance. The best part was getting reminded that we showed up 5 mins early as if that is the excuse we had to wait so long.
Bad service! Have ordered my platter 4 hours ahead of pick up time and they forgot it completely and asked me to wait for another 20 minutes when I arrived. What’s the point to call ahead to place the order. ?
This is our go-to-place for Sushi. We really enjoy the freshness of their food - its amazing! Great staff / customer service. Plus they can cater for gluten-free options as well. We look forward to our next visit!
Imo, this is the best japanese place of the many I’ve been to in Toronto, Mississauga and GTA. Their karaage is just heaven and for their maki roll, the meat-rice ratio is perfect. I dont know how they store their meat but it tastes like freshly bought. My favorite is the agemaki. It’s a bit pricey but its worth it. Try their chef special sashimi boat. Its fantastic
