A good night out for watching the game and having a bite to eat. Truly a great spot for wing night with their delicious flavour options.Pretty small variety on tap. Servers are hit or miss. Most billiards tables need to be cleaned and recovered, and bring your own cue if your serious. Many seating option with patios in the summer and a good amount of T.Vs for easy viewing. The atmosphere of the bar is very nice with lighting perfect for viewing the game, and the ornamentation is cool.
Had a fish and chips, fish was a 3, a tad overcooked and greasy, by no means bad, just not amazing. Chips were amazing. Tartar sauce was good. Overall, 4/5.
I've been coming here for at least 10 years, quite possibly longer. The food is always excellent - I love the spinach dip and the wings, but the sandwiches are great too. Honestly, everything's great - you can't go wrong.I don't believe in tipping culture. I'm never going to give anyone a tip unless they have gone above and beyond. That said - every time I come here I end up giving them at least a $20 tip, because the waitresses always genuinely make my day that much better by being genuinely nice people. Thank you.
Monaghans has been around for many years and i have yet to point out a negative encounter. I travel about 30 minutes to go to get the best wings in the city. The staff is welcoming the minute you walk in, the atmosphere is modern, clean and very entertaining. They have great specials, including Monday night Wing Night, scattered flat screen TV’s to watch any sport game and pool tables to enjoy a friendly competition. Go check them out for a great dinner date with family and friends, you will not be disappointed!!!
Ordered a club sandwich. Waitress asked "with fries?" I asked what other options are there? She listed several salads. I asked for the Caesar. No mention of any additional charges.Had the sandwich, salad and 1 beer.$35 with tax and tip. Seems high to me.
Exactly a week ago today five of us (guy) were staying in Oakville for a few days, We decided to dine at Monaghan's Sports Pub & Grill. Unsurprisingly everyone enjoyed their meal and a few of us, had quite an appetite that evening. We found the food was well prepared and tasty. From the beer list, the first two beers that were requested from the waitress; the pub did not have them on hand. Three of us chose the Full Rack of Baby Back Ribs, which we found on the menu in their website. Majority of us agreed that it was the main reason for trying this dining location. One person, who ordered the Great Canadian Burger, and said he enjoyed it immensely! The fifth person ordered two different hot spicy Wings, French fries and onion rings which he shared. The onion rings were particularly good! That evening, there were four waitresses and a waiter serving the customers. I found the service was slow when it came to asking us what we wanted to order! At the end of our meal; it took quite quite a long time for the bill to come. The food here was excellent!
I’ve never ordered five different dishes from one place and all turned out bad.1. Chicken wings had a bad smell2. Burger was tasteless3. Mac and cheese had no flavour4. Chicken fingers had a bad taste and plum sauce was awful5. Calamari was super greasyI been here in 2021 and now in may 2022 taste of food is rated at a zero.Highly Do Not recommend. What a waste of $150 dinner with family that was supposed to be a fun evening out.
The staff accommodated a girls soccer team with the parents. We were probably 30 ish all together.A group that size with 13 yr old girls is a tough ride. Although hiccups happened - they always corrected.Great atmosphere, great food ( Pizza was amazing). Will be our go-to place for the many tournaments that area hosts.
This place sucks. The food and service is terrible. The waitress (red haired with a little blond in it) is the worst waitress I ever had. She clearly has no idea what she is doing and lacks the knowledge and capability of being a waitress. She was rude and I received no apology from her. I won't be coming here again and I will make sure to tell all my friends and family as well.
Spent $30 dollars on a burger.. My 8 year old nephew can put together a more presentable burger. No sauce... Dryed nasty pickle and soggy bun. HORRIBLE.
