Got take out for the first time, ordered 2 fish plates, one with coleslaw side and one fries side. Got home to find no coleslaw but only overcooked bitter fries. Haddock and halibut were average. Have had much better fish and chips elsewhere
5 orders of Haddock and Chips for $59.90. Good deal! The owner is nice, just speak up when talking to him through the mask.
Pretty good. Service was very nice. Good portions. The cod was really good, but the batter was a bit too oily for my taste. Coleslaw was really yummy. Fries were nothing special.
Cozy place. Food is tasty and good portion. Friendly and helpful server. I highly recommended this place.
Probably the worst Halibut and chips I’ve ever had in a decade. Overcooked, greasy and simply unpalatable meal at a premium price. Not sure if it’s new owners or just a bad night but I’m still queasy from that food 24 hrs later. Not recommended
Ordered from here for the very first time. The Fish snd chips were amazing and only a 10 minute wait after ordering. Portions are huge. Will definitely be back. So glad Siri found you for me
Its good food!
We went there today for the first time and it was great, awesome service and the food was delicious, can't wait to go back or more!
My family decided to try this fish and chips place because we used to go to Caz's but they closed here in Oakville. We ordered 3 haddock dinners with chips and mushy peas, 1 cod dinner with a baked potato, and a large coleslaw. The food was amazing. Crispy battered fish, flaky, crunchy as hell, and delicious. The fries were crisp and perfectly salted. The cabbage for coleslaw is shredded thin for a nice texture and it wasn't soggy like some places. It was our first time having mushy peas and I thought they tasted amazing! So savoury, not complete mush so there was a bit of texture. We were all very impressed. I don't know how people could complain about portion sizes. The four of us were completely stuffed and satisfied. Also, to the people ordering delivery or taking the food out: no wonder your food was soggy and gross. When hot food is put in a closed box, it will steam. Steam ruins crispy and crunchy batter. Do not deliver fish and chips. Pick it up yourself, get to the restaurant on time so the food hasn't been sitting longer than necessary, and when you get into your car open all the boxes and drive home like that. That's what we did and I promise you, the batter will still be crunchy. Will it be super hot? No, but I'd rather perfect fish that's only a little warm than soggy and hot fish. Please order here the next time you're craving fish and chips! Support local business!
Had a craving for fish and chips and wanted to dine in. Happened to come across this little gem of a place. I dined mid day with my cousins and were treated to a very good meal. Upon entering the decor was very traditional for a fish and Chip shop, but you can tell they cared about keeping up with the seasonal theme as Christmas decorations where present. We all ordered the Halibut which were told was their specialty. We also ordered the bartered mushrooms. I found it strange that the coleslaw was extra and didn't come with the meal. Food was very good. The mushrooms were tasty. We debated at the table if they were frozen or fresh. Couldn't tell. The coleslaw was very good and easily recognized as homemade. The fries were also very good, but unfortunately likely not fresh cut which is a rare treat these days. The halibut was very good. A nice thick cut, good size. It was not overly battered and perfectly cooked. I would have given 5 stars but the server kept forgetting minor details about our order which wasnt a huge deal, but a little bothersome for both us and her I'm sure. It was nice that the manger/chef and perhaps owner can out to ask how our meal was and let us know he was appreciative of our support during this time of CIVID restrictions. Overall our experience was good. The price is market and the food was very good. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean. Parking is ample and accessibility is easy. I will be returning if I'm ever in the area again.
