My teenaged daughter and her friend were just there for dinner. Their food took forever, then while they were eating, they were told to leave so they could start cleaning up to close. They weren’t closing for another 40 mins. So these people, sent two young girls out of their restaurant before allowing them to finish, to go sit in a park at night to finish their dinner. Terrible!
Went there a week ago and it looked to be closed forever. I was despondent. It turned out that I arrived before they opened for the day and that they were in process of redecorating. I was so relieved as they have the best fried chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. Everytime I go is as good as the last time. I like it so much, I will go again today!
Today I ordered some takeaway food, paid by credit card and the transaction was approved. Surprisingly the cashier said that the payment is not appearing in the system. I checked my bank online and showed him that the amount was debited from my credit card. He said okay.Ten minutes later, while I was waiting for my order, I was called by the cashier and this old man came from the back and again told me your payment didn’t go thru. I showed him again my credit card statement showing the amount debited for Chicken Squared. He rudely repeated: it's not appearing in my system, it’s your problem, call your bank.I told him it’s your system issue, you call your bank, I’ve showed you twice my credit card statement. The cashier made a call and told me it’s okay, give me two minutes to get your food. But the old man who accused me in front of all restaurant customers, arrogantly refused to apologize!! Totally unethical behaviour.
My first time visit I got the two piece chicken and fries combo boy oh boy it is everything and more taste so good .I will be heading there tomorrow again and very clean business ?
Will not be back.This was our second time here. Our first experience was great. The young man upfront was helpful and the food was plentiful.Today we came back to try a different item. The older man wasn’t friendly. He didn’t give us drinks until we came back and asked for them. The pop machine was broken but he didn’t tell us. The pop was small, warm and flat. When mentioned, he agreed but didn’t care.Portions were tiny today. Not worth the value.Will not be giving it a third shot. Turned off from todays experience completely.Gave 2 stars instead of one because the food tasted good
Fast, easy service. A bit on the pricier side. Brilliant popcorn chicken (white whole meat, not processed). The lahori fish is a great add on for those looking to try something spicy!
Staff is not friendly or welcoming. My husband and the baby went in a clinic to see our doctor and my toddler and I went to this chicken restaurant so he could have something to eat. I ordered some food but forget I didn't transferred money to my spending account, which would take me a couple of minutes. While I was doing it I ask him to start preparing so i can pay and my food would be close to done. He said the chicken is ready, he would only needed to transfer it to the boxes and I could get going. Anyway paid and had to wait another 5-8 minutes on the food. I don't understand ?, what he think I could have done with my toddler ( jump the counter with heels, don't forget my toddler and not paid) what is the issue. I should have asked for my money back and walked out. My feet was killing me, standing up and waiting was really upsetting.The food was not that great and I won't be going back. The service is even worse.
I used to like this place, however yesterday we came specifically for chicken sandwiches and each sandwich had dry chicken strips instead of a full breast piece. We had no problem waiting if that was the problem or if they ran out they should have informed us. We threw most of it away.
I usually go to the Derry rd location where their food and service had always been great. Unfortunately,they are closed. I blame myself for choosing to come to the Oakville location. FOOD(cold chicken, stale bread, coleslaw had gone bad etc) WAS AWFUL!!! DEFINITELY not coming back.
This place has changed drastically. We used to enjoy it but one time ago it was not the best but it was edible. Not today. The fish was as dry as bone. The bun was hard. There was more batter than fish. There was no way we could eat it. So I called. The reason I was given is that it's too cold outside. In any event, it was so disgusting that even though he was willing to replace it, I told him that I can't imagine trying it again.
