What a wonderful surprise to my wife when she found out that this place had chilaquiles, enchiladas and huevos rancheros. She had the chilaquiles in green sauce and I had the enchiladas in red sauce.Generous portions and great presentation.Mexican flavours in North York!! ❤️

This is simply the best spot for one of the best espresso drinks in Toronto, the service is great, a family owned shop that they put their heart on every single item that they sell. Everyday they offer specials, I already tried most of them, my favorites are the Chicken Mole, Fish Tacos, Beef stew, Pasta with Shrimp, Grilled Cheese, etc. All the pastries are fresh as they keep baking during the day. Make yourself a favor and try this lovely place.

Place to go if you want to elevate your moods, energy, and happiness. The place is high on 'happy vibe', and that so much reflects on the team serving us! The staff is so warm, courteous, friendly and has impeccable knowledge of what they serve. They highly prioritize each customer. We ordered, an iced coffee, breakfast combo with tea, a spinach and cheese danish, a bagel, and a NY style cheesecake and what a treat it was. The cheesecake has authentic cheese with lovely taste of the crust, each of the omelette's ingredient could be tasted individually once we eat it, the tea was authentic, all the veggies were fresh and you could literally taste it. Moreover, you can see your food being made in front of you! I am looking forward to their brunch menu. A MUST VISIT!!!

We have visited the Yonge Cafe many times over the past year. We normally go for brunch, but we have also had lunch and holiday dinner takeouts from the restaurant. The owner and her family are so friendly whenever we visit and the food is really great. The restaurant doesn’t try to be fancy, and it doesn’t need to be - the food is great and comforting, the service is friendly, and it feels like an old neighborhood hangout that we want to visit and support again and again. Our favorite meals are the chilaquiles, pancakes, eggs benedict, turkey dinner, and they now have sandwiches that we have really enjoyed too. They also have amazing brownies! We are very cautious about COVID safety and the owner and staff take all necessary precautions to ensure that everything is safe. The Yonge Cafe is a bit hidden at the corner of Yonge and North York Blvd., but it’s really worth visiting, buying local, and supporting a great family-run cafe!

Best chorizo eggs benedict ever! Lots of flavour in the benny and potatoes, plus speedy service. Menu has a variety of foods, including vegetarian, halal, and other dietary-specific options. Be sure to ask! The staff is so sweet and genuine - they will make sure you have a great experience. Elizabeth, Juan Carlos and Gabby especially were amazing. I've been searching for a reliable, solid brunch spot for a while now and I think I've finally found it!

A lovely neighbourhood cafe serving breakfast, pastries, sandwiches and coffee. You'll find lots of groups here catching up or meeting for their daily coffee break.I came late in the afternoon and most of the pastries were cleared out by this time but managed to grab a spinach and feta Danish. I made a rookie mistake by not asking to have it warmed up, but it had a good amount of filling and nice flakiness in the pastry. The staff was friendly and it does make a good spot if you need to do some work.

Came in here by chance, passed by, my first time here. Thanks a lot for the triple espresso latte and the insanely delicious meat and cheese sandwich. Thank you very much for your service and great mood. You made my day perfect.

Was one of the most unappetizing meals I've had in a really long time. The latte was 4.5$ and pretty much just tasted like steamed milk/water. My partner got the spanish frittata which ended up being extremely overcooked and was rubbery. I got the chilaquiles and although I can't attest if it was authentic or not, it just wasn't good as one of the poached eggs was also overcooked, the pico de gallo was bland and overall the dish just tasked like bland soggy tortilla chips.I have a hunch that the kitchen staff cut corners and didn't care as the poached eggs was grabbed from a vat of water where they were already precooked, and reheated which would cause them to be overcooked. The frittata also tasted like it was just reheated from a prior day (maybe week?), giving it the unpleasant rubbery egg texture. Lastly, the latte was probably the most disappointing as they have an espresso machine with a steam wand but the one prepping didn't know how to steam milk and the ratio of milk to espresso was extremely favoured towards milk. My honest thought is that a nespresso machine could make a better automated latte than what was served. As mentioned in a previous review: "What a disappointment with this place. The images of the food items posted on their website doesn't resemble what you get." My sentiment is the same after visiting this place and my recommendation would be to never come again. I had to go to another coffee place close by just to get a latte.

I am writing this review before I have my food on the table. I am feeling so welcomed here and people are really nice and energetic. You can feel the energy and passion even over the phone. I am pretty sure with what I am seeing before eating my food, whatever they bring on the table will taste amazing.

Highly recommend this place for their food and hospitality. Had brunch here on the September long weekend with our extended family. The owners were an absolute delight, their hospitality is top notch. I would come back here anytime. This place is a hidden gem that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy!
