Great quality of products but customer service I’m not so sure. There was a deal to buy a mocha espresso maker that comes with a free milk frother. I come to cash tell the cashier about the deal she was clueless the second cashier comes and says do you need a bag for the rest of your stuff I say no I have my own bags and the actual cashier asks the second one about the deal and she responds there is no such thing, I say the espresso maker and frothed are beside each other and the sign clearly indicates the promotion. She rolls her eyes holds her finger up to silence me indicating she is on a call and calls someone to ask, I wait there patiently while more cashiers join them and pass my espresso maker around saying that would be a good deal completely ignoring I’m standing there waiting for a response and maybe I don’t want everybody passing my box around with COVID and all. Finally, they get a response and the second cashier girl says yeah that’s the deal. No one says thanks for waiting or sorry for the wait or something some sort of acknowledgment for the fact that not a single cashier out of the four there knew the deals. I left frankly feeling annoyed. Having worked in retail for a good chunk of my life I know the rules when it comes to treating the customer with decency. There was lack of communication, preparedness and just not a good vibe overall. The least the store can do is educate the staff on the deals. Treating the customer with some decency can come second if that’s too much to ask.
Stopped in to pick up dessert. This is a large Whole Foods with plenty of options. They even sell clothes! I got a vegan chocolate chip cookie and also picked up some candy and snacks for the next day.went at about 8:30 and it was not busy.
Pretty decent WholeFoods with free underground parking if you shop there.
Regular customer. Will get all organic food items here. Less Indian stuff. No Indian rice bags, atta, vegetables (too many leafy vegetables). It'll be great if you could add them as many of us are looking for the same. Non-veg items are good. Mutton tastes awesome ($11-12/lb which I liked). Costs are a bit high as they are organic.
Premium grocery store for the elite of North York. You will find organic and the healthiest food options and a premium, which is expected. Highly recommend their take-out food counter for food to take home. Some of the options offered might not be as healthy but you do get a variety of choices to choose from.
Generally over-priced relative to competition, BUT, shop strategically and come out ahead, with superior service. For example: When they have their supplement, (and beauty), sales their prices beat the competition by a lot. Weekly sales are great too. Purer deli meats worth it.
Grocery shopping is just so relaxing in a store like this! Nice display, friendly people, supports local brands and selects good quality foods! Took a photo for my favorite store and fav snack ??
Free underground parking with purchase. Store always clean and organized. Excellent counter service. I love ordering the $15 Chef's meal deal from the hot services (1 protein + 2 sides) for lunch or supper. My only critique would be the recycling bins. There's a bin for plastic, but it only fits bottles so there's nowhere to put the recyclable clear plastic containers (black plastic not recyclable in TO).
They stock a lot of local foods and snacks that I enjoy, but everything is so expensive, so coming here is more of a luxury. I really liked their signage during my last visit in the produce section when they had a lot of varieties of orange, so they put up explanations of the differences between them. I like that they're able to accommodate to different lifestyles and diets, but I WISH they would stock more low sodium/no salt added foods. I also wish they would stock more sugar-free/no sugar added or less sugar foods without any of those alternative sugars.Parking is available directly below the store in the same building and can be free and validated if purchasing more than I think $15. Also has a direct connection to yonge street and sheppard/yonge station.
Man, this place is EXPENSIVE! But you get what you pay for. Their buffet, prepared foods and bakery item selection is untouchable. They have a fantastic fresh fish/ seafood selection. The organic produce is the reason I shop here.
