Done-in experience with my friends at lunch time. Service is good and delivery is quite innovative with electronic menu system and robotic serving. The food is full of surprises. It is great to try different dishes and share. For some reason shrimp ? was my favorite dish there even though I liked other dishes as well. Try for yourself and I’m confident you will figure out your own favorite choices.
Good quality food and a fun experience seeing the conveyor belt system at work! Of course, between the food and the novelty, the price of the food is of course higher. Everything tasted good, and my personal favorite was the ebi fritters. The mochi dessert was just okay though and I wouldn’t order again. Also, the dishes are quite small, tapas style, so I wouldn’t come here too hungry unless you’re willing to spend more to get full. I was very satisfied with the overall experience, and would probably come again on a special occasion, or for someone who would like to see the conveyor system as well for the first time.
I came here for the conveyor belt experience! The majority of the sushi was good, but you can get greater quality and quantity elsewhere for a lower price. It's worth a try though :) One of the servers with glasses was quick and attentive. I didn't catch her name, but she was extremely helpful. My top 4: Aburi Salmon Oshi, Aburi Tora, Uni Gunkan & Bluefin Tuna.
Friendly, fast service. Excellent food
Really great dining experience at TORA! The conveyor belt style of plate delivery is a great novelty. The quality of fish was fantastic and the rice and seaweed were stellar. The staff were very friendly and attentive as well.Definitely worth a visit but the wait can be over an hour and they don't take reservations.
The selling point would be the delivery belt they have! Love the torched sushi (which is the majority of what we ordered), but not a big fan of the prawn nigiri. The price could vary vastly (medium to expensive) depends on what you order. Very friendly staffs as well!
First time here but came during covid 19 but dine in was allowed. Staff are very friendly and nice. Food cones to your table via conveyer belt. Place is bright and spacious. Food is Japanese. Alcoholic drink menu is severely limited. Overall I had a great time and enjoyed the myself here. Food came hot and was pretty tasty. I will return again if I'm in the area (Yorkdale mall) and craving sushi. I highly recommend checking this place out as it is a nice experience.
Nice interior, cute place to sit and eat in.Had a more interesting variety of sushi and Japanese food compared to your usual sushi restaurantHad the sukiyaki, tuna and salmon sashimi, chef's recommended oshi trio (had a tomato aburi which was interesting but wouldn't be one of my favorites) , aburi salmon oshi (10/10 would get again) and a sushi set.Food overall 10/10Service was very nice and the washroom were very clean and modern. 10/10.
Went here randomly looking for torched sushi. Staff were friendly and the concept is great. We don't really have any laneway sushi places in Toronto so this was a nice addition! Menu items were quite limited but they do it well. Decently priced for the portions. Most dishes I enjoyed and I would definitely come back.
Everything tasted amazing, very light and fresh. It is pricey but I do recommend coming here at least once for the food and the sushi conveyor belt experience. If you eat here you will never go back to ayce sushi.
