The drink was nice but unfortunately my drink had a clump of HAIR in the tapioca. It was definitely not mine as I have black hair and the hair in my tapioca was dyed orangey-blonde which clearly belonged to the one female worker at the store during the time.I saw she was wearing a hair net so not sure how this could have happened but it was such a disgusting experience for me, I felt like throwing up and immediately threw it out. Couldn't notify the staff in person because I was already out the mall as I got the drink to go on my way home but needed to report this. Nothing against the staff but hygiene practices at this branch should be reinforced. I've NEVER had this happen at any orher boba place.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Their customer services are the worst! We came to order 5 bubble teas and have to wait almost 30 minutes. There was only 1 barista and 1 cashier in the store. It would never be the case if the barista didn’t prioritize all the minor orders first. The Asian girl barista - also supervisor at the store - named Annie was doing everything in a slow pace and she made the order for the person came way later after us first. When we ask the reason for the long waiting, she answered that it was because that customer only ordered 1 and we ordered 5 so we have to wait until she finished all the minor ones first with a very rude attitude. She said it is how it is done here. She also said in Vietnamese that “We are being ridiculous and annoying”! We asked to speak with the store manager and she dared us to come back to meet him/her.The other guy named Joshua also sided up with her without any sorry to us for the long wait. Although his action was not acceptable but the responsibilities are always on the supervisor. Bad attitude supervisor causes bad customer service systems in general.I was also a supervisor in other restaurant and I knew how everything should be and the way everything could be done.This will absolutely be our first and last time here. NEVER return! Very Disappointed!
I had a very pleasant experience at this store.I was on my way to get dinner but had a craving for something sweet and I came across this Ten Ren's on the way out of Yorkdale. It was right before they closed too but the supervisor, Annie, told me that she can take my order before they closed up for the night! How nice of her! The other baristas were very friendly and asked me about my day while they were cleaning up.I will definitely be coming back since they made my day.
We came in with an order of 5 drinks, took the number, then another customer came in after us and ordered 1 drink. We waited for 15 minutes, then the other customer walked out first with her order without us being informed anything.I asked the production person, Annie, why did we not get our order first, and she said because we had 5 instead of 1 so we had to wait with an attitude. I asked why did we get a number if things are not made in order, and she told me with an attitude: "This is how we do it here".I asked for the manager and Annie said she was not there and Annie was the supervisor and then dared us to meet the manager as she knew she was not doing anything wrong. If you have that kind of attitude as a supervisor, I dont think It will be good for your service.Then the new hire Joshua, said that it's his first day and I'm making it hard for him. I do not know and I do not care if he is a new hire, if he is not trained or not suitable for the job, he should not be doing it. I did not expect this kind of service and attitude from Tenren since i have always been a frequent patron.
Absolutely awful customer service. I was standing inside the store where people formed a line. As soon it was my turn to order, the lady cashier working today tells me the line is outside but she never told this to the 4 people she served in front of me who formed a line inside the store. So as soon it was my turn to order, she tells me to stand outside and at this point there were at least 10 people after me and she denied my order. I will never come here again, shame on her. Disgusting customer service.
Their quality stayed the same while their prices gone up. I paid $9 for a milk green tea with tapioca while I could’ve just got it at chatime for $7…Okay service but the line is always long.
Not sure what's going on with Ten Ren's but, I've noticed their quality either stay the same or worsen over the years. The only thing that's been steadily rising are the costs.
I ordered the Tokyo Sakura because I saw it on the board for top 10 drinks and it looked so pretty so I thought I would give it a try. In the picture it shown as a white bottom, with purple at the top. When I received my drink it was light yellow bottom and pink top, so I was a little put off on the presentation of it, however when I tried the drink it was pretty good. I am usually a milk tea person and rarely ever order anything thats not milk tea. This was a yakult based drink that came with crystal boba. I love the chewing on these crystal boba a little different than traditional tapioca. It has more of a jelly like texture. Overall it was a good drink to try.
