I had the absolute worst experience at Taftan Kebab. I had ordered a meal for 3 people, with 2 orders of Koobideh Combo and 2 orders of Chicken leg on skewers for takeaway. As I opened it, I noticed that the rice was over cooked and, unlike in the past, was a very tiny portion. The Koobideh kebabs were also significantly smaller than in the past, and when I tasted them, they had an awful smell.I called the restaurant up and the lady told me that they were having an issue with their meat, and that they would give me a refund. So, I drove back 20 minutes, but, when she saw that I had eaten part of a kebab ( mind you, the 2nd box was intact, as well as the chicken) she refused. I told her, “ How would I know it was bad if I hadn’t tasted it? Plus, you can see that, literally only a bite has been eaten.” She said that her manager, Danesh, who was at one of their other sites, has refused a refund. She then gave me his telephone number and told me to call him. When I did, also telling him that the lady had herself admitted that they were having an issue with the meat and that on her say so, I had driven all the way back with the food. He was extremely rude to me, basically told me to get lost, and that I didn’t need to get their food again. So, no refund. Horrible food that they admitted was off. Never going back there again.Wish I’d taken photos, alas, I left the bag there.
The food is ok, but their service is excellent! I'm reviewing their service. The few times I've been there, I've received kind service and even given free tadig on my take away with either fesenjoon on top or gheimeh surprisingly without them even saying it. I was very appreciative of this gesture and the tadig and fesenjoon was especially delicious. Thank you.
The servers are polite, but the food is not fresh and it tastes terrible. The chicken kebab I bought was heated up from last week's left overs and it felt like biting into rubber plastic. The salad it came with had spoiled lettuce leaves (which hopefully were washed before) and onions that looked to have been peeled instead of chopped properly for the salad. Taftan charges 16.94 tax included for the chicken breast and additional buck for a can of soda. Their serves are polite, but the food is overprice and not recommend. 1/5
Simply amazing!!!Best kabab for the price, well packaged. I ordered from uber and asked if they can give me tahdig. They were nice enough to do that. Friendly staff and great food. Will order again for sure.
this is the worst Koobideh I've had, I cant even explain why because I'm still not understating how they made this to be so ba. its not Koobideh its just an some badly cooked minced meat. Normally, when ordering from a Persian restaurant I don't worry at all even if i don't know them cause even the ordinary ones give you tasty food but this one was horrible.
Bought few meals one was Koobideh and the inside was all red when I got home. I called them and send them the pictures, at first they were trying to come up with an excuse that it is the kind of meat that stays red even after cooking and when I brought it to her attention that the outside is cooked and it is brown and it is one inside that is red and uncooked and unsafe to eat. She asked me to come and get another meal and I told her that I am 30 min away and don't feel like driving back. I asked her to put my name in their book and whenever I am close by I will go pickup a replacement meal and we agreed. Today I did find time and went the 2 ladies at the cash told me that Mr. Danesh has instructed them not to give any replacement to anyone. We tried to get a hold of him and was not available. I also told them that I will put this in social media and the chef said we don't care we make good money and we have lots of customer. It is a shame and wanted to let everyone know that of my experience . I will never step in any of taftan restaurants. Thank God there are too many persian restaurants with better service and better cooked food. Cheers
I give lower rates because of the old meet that used for kebab, as well as old salads, they used to be good but I believe they lost their reputation due too covid.Old meetOld salads
I bought Gormesabzi, Halim, and Ash-Sholegalamkar.Gormesabzi was good, Ash Sholegalamkar was not tasty at all and Halim was almost garbage tasting sour. I'm so sorry for this business that advertising Freshly cooked Halim but garbage one indeed!
