Came here for breakfast today with some friends. It was very busy and the service reflected that as it was a bit slow to get the order and food and bill, but our server was delightful and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Happy to come back regardless as the service was nice and the food was good!Tldr: busy Saturday brunch but tasty Saturday brunch
Overall experience and food were good, customer service was okay, however, there are couples things we didn’t like. First of all, most of the tables were not clean, there was still spilled maple syrup, used napkins and glasses etc. Waitresses ignored us for a while, but to be fair we were not sure if the order has to be made at the counter or they usually come and take the order, so after waiting for a while, we just went and ordered at counter. Pancakes are served with butter portions (in small plastic containers), one of which was already used, the lid was open and no butter inside, kinda killed all the appetite.
Eggs cooked perfectly, but I had to leave the potatoes. Potatoes are cooked through, but need to be browned. The flavour of the potatoes are overwhelmed by the quantity of oil and are unpalatable. The staff are very nice, friendly, and prompt.
We ate at the North York (Lonestar Road) location. Penny was our waitress & she was amazing! Super kind, friendly, attentive & helpful.The food was incredible...especially the crab cakes. Everything was hot, fresh & to our liking.The restaurant was bright & clean.We will definitely be back again :)
We just had a very pleasant lunch experience today at the Lodestar location.The food was great, but Penny made the experience so much more fun. She is cordial, confident and efficient.Oh, how could I leave out that she is extremely witty. We laughed so much. This lady is FUNNY.
Amazing place, Penny was our waitress and her amazing attitude made this a special moment. And they treated our puppy like queen!
The Service was fast. Asked if food was ok. Their pancakes amazing!!!Anyone who loves pancakes that's the place!!!Their stake lunch/ breakfast that we had and I asked for well done to be cooked amazingly delicious!!Keep up the good work for the chefand the servers!!! ??????
I had an absolutely horrible experience at this location and was honestly astonished by the poor customer service. We waited over an hour for our food, all the tables that were seated with us and after us received their food and finished their meals while we waited. The waitress simply started avoiding us everytime we tried to get her attention to ask about our order. After an hour we decided to leave, I approached the waitress and told her we were waiting for over an hour she laughed and said "yeah". I said I wanted to leave and would have appreciated an update if there was an error made in the kitchen. I also told her perhaps moving forward she should follow up with the kitchen if there's a delay in an order being fulfilled or atleast acknowledge the table. She was incredibly rude, said she punched in our order and isn't responsible for the kitchen and what they do. She even said wow I forgot about your order, its not my fault, I'm new here and just made excuses, didn't even apologize. She then had the audacity to charge us for the 2 coffees that we had been sipping on for over an hour. So unprofessional. I get its just a sunset grill but we often go with family and friends for brunch and have good experiences. The waitress was so rude. I will not be visiting this location again and will definitely tell my friends and family to also avoid this location unless they want to wait hours for their food and be met with rude staff. Such poor customer service, honestly the owner needs to have a word with their staff, I get your a franchise and people just walk in and out but experiences like these will make someone not want to ever come back. Still mind blown with how unprofessional and rude this waitress was lol
Always stop here on our way through Toronto. Used to live nearby. Great wait staff. Always kind, courteous, quick. And the food is fine. Try this place out!
Me and my husband had dental appointments near by, and were very looking forward to having breakfast at Sunset grill after all retrictions. At the time when we got there, it was line up (2 group before us). With limited time, we decided to take out instead of dine in. When we pay at the cashier, the white lady waitress was not friendly at all, she told us to wait outside because app pickup! What!!!! There are people waiting by the door, and sent me and my hunsband outside in cold to wait after paid! We we're very disappointed, and don't think wanna go back anymore in that location . Even though the food were amazing.
