Tried out the new revamped basil box offering Asian street food and so satisfying!They offer a lot of fusion eats with categories of baos, Mac & cheese, and poutines.Had the double fried chicken bao, the banh mi fries and the malaysian braised beef Mac & cheese.The fried chicken was nice and crispy, juicy on the inside and just so nice with the soft fluffy bao!The braised beef was tender and soft and with every bite of Mac, it was just a perfect flavour comboThe banh mi fries had nice crispy fries with the fresh ingredients you would find in a banh mi and making it into a poutine by adding cheese curds. How they managed to blend all these flavours in is beyond me! So good!The staff working here were amazing too! Small location perfect for takeout or a quick meal. I came for dinner, never having tried the original basil box.I ordered the pad Thai fried rice. While delicious, there was simply too much rice and not enough chicken. Even when I rationed every bite there was still plenty of rice to go. Honestly nothing else about my experience here was bad; the Thai iced tea was solid, and service was as fast as could be. But the absurd ratio was enough for me to dock a star.
The chicken prepared by Leon is undercooked. Went there at 8:30 pm, think he was hurry to close the store so undercooked our food.
I normally love Basil Box but I went to this location (Yonge-Sheppard) recently and the guy charged me 2.50 extra for chicken. I asked for half Tofu and half Chicken. He could have warned me that it would be extra before paying. Plus the noodles were cold/clumped together and still he charges me extra for chicken which there wasn’t even a lot of to begin with. I only go because of a discount through work but the discount just gets annulled with him charging an extra fee for chicken. I couldn’t believe it! The guy was such a scammer.
I frequent the location downtown.I just started working in the yonge and sheppard area.this is my second time going at 5:10 pm for take out dinner.rice/2 veg and chicken.first visit was ok. just ok.second visit was extremely DISAPPOINTING. WHY are you giving the smallest tiniest amount of chicken now? I said something and he said it's 3 ounzes and then threw 2 tiny little bits more on....and I had the most unpleasant meal from it. My box was basically rice with soy beans. At the downtown location you get a heaping big spoonful of chicken.For the amount of extras you now provide, ontop of the rice, you should be charging $5 for this meal.For $15, I feel GIGANTICALLY RIPPED OFF.

It's ok. BKK Thai is much better when it comes to Thai food. It's not that far from this location.
