Exceptional customer service by the owner and the food was delicious. Some of the meals really did a good job at simulating their meat counterparts. It was a little outside my comfort zone to be honest and I was reluctant to try some of the dishes at first but it was very very good. My partner who is omni absolutely loved it and said she would get this over the meat version. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more things.The only downside is it's in the hood so pro tip leave your L.V. bags and Gucci belts at home and dress simple.
I came here this morning and saw the owner (wife) was being extremely abusive to one of her female workers. The owner was shouting disgusting things to her in Vietnamese and embarassing her.Customers at the tables were looking, shaking their heads, some were telling the owner to calm down and a couple left.The female worker was not doing anything wrong! It seemed the owner was frustrated that no one would help her (because her husband came late today) and directed her anger at the worker (but not her husband once he arrived).I feel so bad for the female worker! She did not say anything back to the owner. If I was her, I would leave ASAP. No wonder why there are new workers every time I come here to eat...My friends have witnessed the owner's abusiveness in the past and do not come to eat anymore because of that.I will not come here too unless the owner treats her workers with respect! Also beware, they overcharge and don't hand you the receipt. Make sure to ask for it before you pay.
Hard pressed to find a better bowl of Vegetarian Pho in the city. The endless leaf bowl warms the soul. Pho Hue is a must on a cold night. Family run ensures recipes passed down from generations.
Ok. If you are looking for an amazing bowl of Pho, you're Vegetarian or Vegan, check this place out, the broth is amazing, all the ingredients are incredible and the owner is so friendly. In fact I'm going back today for Family Day! LOL Highly recommend Pho Chay 88 on Jane Street!
The owner Mandy is the sweetest lady. Her mock meats that she makes from scratch are better than the real thing and no harm done to our sentient animal friends. Mandy always makes great dish recommendations.
First time come to this place and the food is not that bad. The service is nice but one thing I don't like is the owners doesn't wear a masks when serving customers never wear masks in the store.
I think this is my new favorite vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant!! Their bun Bo hue is on point and super delicious! The fresh rolls are also super good. I often find veg fresh rolls to be disappointing on restaurants but theirs was stuffed with mock meat and flavored well.
Their Bun Rieu Chay noodle soup were absolutely amazing. I order one plate Banh Tam Bi and I'm so happy how fresh, hot and creamy it was prepared for me. Portion were plentiful me and my wife have more than enough to share with one another. Service was also fantastic , owner not only very friendly, humorous and caring. Definitely a vegetarian restaurant we are revisiting twice each month!
