The promised to offer luxury is not there, bring towels for the pool, there is none, the toilets in the lobby area are absolutely disgusting and dirty, the menu is poor in choices. Internet is very slow. During my stay (3 nights) no TV service at all. Don’t expect to have a view, the windows look like they haven’t been clean in years, you will get dirty windows. In general, you’re better off staying at a motel then this “luxury hotel” There is no valet service, also there is no one to help with your bags, at least no one when I arrived. This was a poor choice we made in a hotel, never going back.
I stayed here with my kids and husband and very disappointed. Although the rooms are clean and the location is great. The TV was not working we had a black screen for 4 days and they kept on saying working on it and pretended they would send someone yet no one came. Service staff seem like they don’t like their job and don’t care. We paid for breakfast downstairs at Season’s and the food was expensive but meager. Strawberries looked and tasted soured over ripe perhaps left outside too long. For an 18 dollar pancake dish that comes with berries it’s not right to serve with bad soured berries. They also charge $18 per day for parking your car. Overall I’m disappointed this shouldn’t be a 4 star hotel.
Stayed several times in the hotel's earlier incarnation, compared to which our most recent stay was a bit of a letdown. Whether this was due to the pandemic, the difficulty of finding people willing to work or just cutbacks and the aging of the property.
I spent an evening at the hotel. Huge hotel! My room was beautiful, spacious, contained two queen size beds and overlooked a wooded area. The facilities were very clean and even other guests were very welcoming.I had my nails done and a huge burger with sweet potato fries. I havent had a burger in ages - it was great.Breakfast in the morning was also a treat. The restaurant overlooked a tranquil garden.I used Snaptravel to book the room and it was well worth it.
The hotel looks lovely as you enter but the rooms need some TLC, like the windows needing a good clean and something to help them slide open and shut. Our TV and some electrical points weren’t working on arrival and I reported it to reception. The staff member told me to find a wall switch (unmarked and not explained at check in). Actually there was a socket fault and maintenance had to come up to fix it. Not an ideal way to spend the evening for something that should have been addressed As others have said the lifts were slow and stopped at random floors - not helpful when you are trying to get downstairs to your taxi! We were on a room only rate so like others used the eateries just outside the hotel. The hotel is quite far out of town so its location is best for those who want to be in that area rather than downtown.
The hotel was not up to par considering the price per night. It felt like it had a fresh coat of paint, but everything else was worn. Carpets were dirty. Staff was not helpful. Elevators were not working in a trustworthy fashion. Gym machines were not working. One benefit was location - close to a very cool mall, Don Mills - good restaurants and fun atmosphere and across the street from an Orange Theory and Starbucks.
Prior to booking this hotel, I checked out the reviews. You know what they say...don't always believe what you read.My husband and I found this hotel exceptional. The hospitality at the front desk, the ease of checking in, and the facility of the parking was above and beyond. The rooms were spotless, nicely decorated and bright.Unfortunately, our stay was short so we did not get ro explore the huge property.Next time we are in Toronto we will definitely stay here again.
We are staying at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Toronto this week and at every chance the front desk staff has worked so hard to make everything lovely for us. I mentioned that a friend was to check in the next day and could they possibly be near us knowing it might be a difficult request. When she checked in they had put her right across the hall. The staff at the desk has been exceptional so far and I just wanted to post right away. The staff communicates with each other so that everyone is up to speed on room requests and needs. Having stayed at so many stock hotels in the US that do not give that sort of attention and service this hotel really made a positive impression.
We stayed here from July 15-18 and had two rooms. First night in one room I saw 2 spiders on our bed. The only thing the staff did about that was apologize. 2nd night I saw whatever that is in the photos attached. When we checked out and I informed the girl at the front desk all she wanted to do was apologize and thank us for letting her know. I had to be the one to ask her to do something for the inconvenience. She offered us 10% off for the first night only for one room & told me that there was a late fee of $50 charge added for each room for late checkout when I called the night before and my friends in the other room called the morning of at 10AM to ask for late checkout and they said it was fine for one hour only, which was fine with us! She didn’t want to remove the late fees and I had to pretty much beg her to remove it. The hotel is very unorganized. I went down to ask for a fork one night and the front desk told me they don’t have any sorry, Although they have a restaurant at the hotel & couldn’t get me one from there. The TVs in the room have Netflix but it doesn’t work because it’s just there for show and guests aren’t able to use it. Every time you click on it, it would say no internet connection. I’m very disappointed. I felt like the staff apologize but apology isn’t genuine. They don’t seem to care about their guests. Never in my life have I heard of a late check out fee of $50 for staying 1 hour extra. I would understand if we stayed 3 hours past check out time but we only stayed 1 hour!!! I’ve stayed at multiple pan Pacific hotels and the Toronto location would have to be one of the worst due to the customer service we received throughout our stay.
Overall a good hotel if you go to bed before 1am and don't want to use the service of the sweet bar ladies after that hour! The view out of your window might be blocked by birds poop and dust when you booked a room with a balcony which you will not have access to... But all in all it's a good hotel with very comfortable beds!
