We have been going to this place since 2016, and it never disappoints. Tonight we arrived at 9pm and still, they accepted us eventhough they close at 9:30pm. They didn’t do any shortcuts, they served our food with the same preparation that they always do. Fresh and hot and perfect. Yael was very pleasant and was always smiling eventhough she might have been exhausted already. We really appreciated not being turned away, hence, this review. I have never tasted a better Shawarma than this. We moved to Mississauga a few years ago but whenever we are in North York, this is where we always wanted to eat. The chicken was so tender, rice was warm and soft, roasted potatoes are crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside, veggies complement the meal and the garlic sauce!! Yum! The best Shawarma in North York! Very highly recommended, you won’t regret it!
Ordered from here for the first time tonight and wow I am pleased! The lovely individual working the cash tonight was such a kind person who made the experience ordering awesome! I'm sorry I didn't catch their name, but they were very patient with me seeing as it was my first time there and for the fact I showed up 12 minutes before close. They made it obvious that they took pride in the establishment and wanted everyone's experience to be the best. The food was also delightful, I'm happy I tried this place.Will definitely be back!
A terrific experience. I was referred by a friend who raved about Orly. I wasn't disappointed. What a great find! The staff was friendly and was happy to suggest menu options when I asked. The food is incredibly fresh - and they make it right in front of you. We got two pitas with all the sides. They are huge - you can share with a friend. I don’t normally leave reviews but I felt that I should because the food was excellent. The shawarma might just be the best I’ve ever had! I am definitely going back.
My husband and I ordered take out all the time. We usually order large chicken shawarma dinner for the both of us. We ate the lamb chops, schnitzel and lentil soup. The food is so tasty and affordable. The restaurant is close by.
Picked up a Party Platter for 2.The amount of food was more than enough for 2 people. 3 or 4 can eat comfortably with that amount.The rice, chicken and shawarma were all amazing and not dry. Like most middle eastern places.Last but definitely not least, the customer service was fantastic. They were very sweet and accommodating. Again not like most middle eastern cuisine places.You should definitely try this place.
No complaints at all! Got the chicken shawarma plate. Amazing portion, meat was tender and juicy ! Not sure about what the other reviews are talking about. First time here and I would definitely come back. Garlic sauce was flavourful not as thick as other places but the flavour was there ! Don’t Judge from the outside.
Its amazing!I am working in this restaurant the service they provide is quick and reliable. They maintain proper cleanliness so that no one compromises for their health. The food they prepare is absolutely fresh and delicious. Love it!♥️
It's my first time trying shawarma rice and I can say that it is really great. The lady named fritz is also kind & friendly and she was the one who suggested me to try their best seller. Would visit the place again and try their other foods.
I don’t know what these people writing negative reviews are talking about…THE FOOD HERE IS AMAZING.I got the chicken shawarma plate, with yellow rice and potatoes with a side of salad and it’s definitely one of the best spots in the area!Yes it is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for! Amazing service. portions are great!Definitely going back to try other things on the menu!
I feel ripped off. The food was terrible and the service was poor. I decided to try this place based on the rating. I wish I had taken the time to read some of the more recent reviews. I cannot recommend this place and will not be going back.The FoodI ordered the small beef plate, and 2x beef pita. The rice & potatoes on the beef plate were bland and tasteless, and the beef (requested medium-well) was way overcooked and charred. The cucumber/tomato side salad had some old, soggy/slimy pieces of cucumber in it. The beef pitas were overstuffed with veggies, and barely any meat. The 5 cubes pictured in the beef plate, another skewer like that was used and split between 2 pitas.This meal was just so terrible, and with everything I ordered costing around $35, I feel ripped off.The ServiceWhen I entered I was the only one. I was not greeted, it took them time before taking my order, and I had to repeat my order multiple times, both while ordering and again before preparation. The servers seemed busy and stressed, so I initially let this go.After ordering, I had to wait 25 minutes for my order. It took time before before asking for toppings, and more time before they put the beef skewers on the grill. Several people came after me and got their orders before mine.
