First time at this location, I love it. The food was so tasty, the service was excellent. We didn't have a reservation, so we got offered to be seated at the bar. Servers didn't neglect us at all very attentive yet still gave us space. Everything we ordered was delicious, and food came out at a great pace. Will definitely visit again.
Atmosphere is amazing here especially if you didn’t even realize this place existed at Shops like moi.Service is A1. Don’t think a minute went by when my drink wasn’t full.Cocktails are great and they have $1 oysters which is a plus! Highly recommend.
My wife and I come here go to nome every year except for the pandemic year. The food is always great, the drinks are great and the service is great. Though I have to say the north York location is more fun. A sad note, they don't allow people to yell for the sake bombs anymore.
I went on a Sunday evening for an early dinner and was very pleased with the food. While service was a little on the slower side to begin with (15 mins to get the menu), the food was on point and delicious.The Japa sliders is a must for anyone who loves to beef.Some of the items we ordered were:Japa BugerSpicy Shrimp roll - my least fav but still pretty goodTuna coins - loved the freshness of the tunaSashimi Salad - creamy and deliciousSpicy mac and cheese - hands down the best mac n cheese I have ever had. This too is a must to order.
Quick service and kind servers. The restaurant is clean and lively although a bit tight and smaller than you'd expect. Everything was exceptional! Recommended dishes are:- Oysters- Japa Burgers- Aburi Salmon Donburi (You can taste the smokiness!)Sushi rolls are expensive but massive! If you love oysters, I'd recommend coming on Tuesdays or Wednesdays for buck a shuck. Their East Coast oysters are fresh, tasty and succulent.?
Service was great, but dishes were very average. This location had limited menu items, restaurant did not have sashimi for dinner.There are better izakaya options out there.

We had their Aburi Salmon bowl, Japa-burgers, and Spicy Shrimp roll. All were great, although a bit on the saltier side for the bowl and burgers. Great food and drinks. Tapas style. Good variety. Recommend ordering 2-3 plates for 2 people and add to your order after. The plates are generous in serving. Highly recommend the ribs, rolls, tacos + soju yogurt cocktail.Great Atmosphere. Can sit outside or inside.Great Service. Super friendly.Tvs to watch the game or socialize with friends.They have a table time limit which youre told in advance but if you wanted a spot to hang around for drinks there are other locations in the area to continue your night.
I am going to preface my 4 star review with this: If all you're looking for is delicious food, then you will not be disappointed. The food is incredible, despite being on the pricier side. I would definitely recommend going with a small group of 4 and ordering a couple dishes to split the cost.As much as I want to give five stars, the service just wasn't there for the price. My girlfriend and I made a reservation (which apparently only allows you to sit on the patio which we weren't too pleased about given that walk-ins were allowed to sit inside). Service also wasn't very attentive.In the future we will likely skip dining in and order the seared salmon don buri for takeout as it was incredibly tasty!
