Samosa chat is very tasty. I am not much fan of their sweets though
I got a aloo paratha and asked it to be spicy there were no aloo to be seen in the paratha and the crushed pepper were jus dumped in it. And its not paratha more like tandoor roti. Asked for ilachi chai its good but too strong. Samosa and pakora are good but pakora are better is fresh the one i got were cooked a day before seemed like it coz i have had thr fresh ones too. Mithai is good.
The best place in Toronto for Bengali sweets. Every time I am in North York, I stop by here for samosa and chai. The savouries are always fresh. The thing to die for is their sweet selection, everyone is a fan of this small restaurant in North York. They also sell pickles and other snacks.
Very tasty North Indian food. And, really well priced. Great service- called in our order and it was hot and ready for pick up when we arrived.
Food is just okay. Started visiting them 20 years ago. Their food was really good, but in the last 2 years or so, something has happened which made me give them just 2 stars. I would visit again in 1 year to see if they have improved and I will update my review at that time. Try other places if you can because they seem to have forgotten how to make delicious Indian food.
Sweets are good, food can be better. We had samosa which was not hot, especially during the cold, it's would have been great to get your hands on some hot Samosas.Dahi is superb and at a decent price, too.
I gave them a 3 star as it’s a hit and miss with this place. Their samosas aren’t bad, they aren’t amazing. The filling could use more flavour. However they are the best option compared to other samosa places in the area. Their sweets are overpriced I find, and quality is ok. Their pakoras are always fresh! So I will come back for those.
We took 3 veg thalis came out with Walmart's dairy section worth of cream.Pathetic daal nothing to even be said about itMutter paneer- left me muttering about its terrible taste and qualityMalai Kofta- no orange Gulab jamunTandoori roti- would have been happier eating a chapalOverall terrible taste and quality if you would like thali I suggest Bengali Sweet house
This place is known for their sweets not their food. Horrible tandoori chicken, no flavour at all.
This is the same place our parents always came to buy us treats. Now it is renovated and just as clean and delicious.
