I have been going to this place for years as it was very close to my work place. They have a fantastic patio and offer great deals on food and drinks during happy hour. The food is also great.
Old school restaurant with good food and ambiance. The outdoor area looks better that indoors. Indoors is dated and dark but with the new renovations I'm sure it will give it a refreshed look. Lots of parking onsite.
Food is very delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive. Patio atmosphere is warm and cozy. Parking lot was full but there is a green P lot conveniently beside with a lot of parking.
The food for the price asking was not up to par.I ordered the least expensive steak at $75. While it was cooked properly it was way too salty, so I brushed off the seasoning and still could not eat it, I returned it not asking for a new one. The cut of the meat looked/ tasted cheap as well, not worth $75 at all, nor were the 3 Jumbo Shrimp for $44 which were rubbery. The table agreed on the steak and that the food was average at best and will be remembered lesser considering the price. Table members did enjoy the ceaser salad though.Service was great! Friendly, prompt, informative, and helpful and would give 5 stars to them. They did not charge me for the steak, which was much appreciated considering I didn’t ask.If this food was less expensive (1/2 the cost)at this quality, I would not have written this review, as I have never written a review before…
Good service and amazing patio. The food is as amazing as the patio looks. Good job on the upgrade.
Terrible unprofessional service, Will never go there again ...Waiter dropped clotted cream all over the sides of my wife's and my jacket. We were very understanding at the beginning as accidents happen until the acting manager Richard said that my mother in-law who was sitting on the other side was responsible for the spill. It is unconscionable that what he claimed is ever possible considering our seating. The clotted cream was clearly dropped by the waiter when taking the food away on the collar and shoulder of the jackets. Furthermore, why did the waiter not say anything if they new it happened (we found out later when I looked on the side). When I objected to the claim, the acting manager insisted his staff were not to blame. When I asked to speak to the manager Andrew, he said he was busy and I could only speak to him. Out of principal, we did not eat our desert though we paid an $875 bill including 18% gratuity and will never will never set foot in the Miller Tavern again. This was supposed to be a mother's day lunch and they completely ruined it. My advice, is go to restaurants that respect the customer.
The greatest that Toronto has to offer. Phenomenal atmosphere whether inside or outside on the beautiful three level patio. The food is incredible, nice selection of beverages including unique beers and wines. The service is extraordinary. And The Miller is a well known goto for all sorts of celebrities. You never know who you might run into at The Miller on Yonge. You have to try it. I love this place ?!
The best part of Miller Tavern is the patio in the summer. Despite being near a busy midtown intersection, the place is lovely and serene, overlooking the park. There as some string lights that are lovely in the summer evenings. Food is reliably good and there is a decent selection. Price is not unreasonable. Service has been prompt and friendly when we've visited. Location is accessible both by transit and by car and parking is plentiful.
We had dinner there last night, our first visit back since before covid started. The food was good, the service excellent, but the place has become very expensive. A martini costs $18, a burger $30. We had New York strip sirloin, $65 each. This included a large baked potato.
I had a great time, my server was great! unfortunately the mark up they do in their oysters is out of line, I would say crazy. $52 for 12 oysters, it s something I am sure it can not be seen anywhere in Toronto. When I read market price, never I would have thought an oyster would go for $4.33 a piece especially considering their wholesale cost to a restaurant... $0.85 a piece
