i saw some reviews that said some udons lost their touch, from what it used to be, so i was a bit nervous. but the food was great! we ordered 300 ml of one of the yuzu sake, chicken karage and tonkatsu to start. both were very fresh and perfectly battered. my bf had the spicy seafood udon and i had a creamy mentaiko udon - the broths were SO flavourful and full of umami, my taste buds were dancing. the spicy udon sauce was actually spicy and there was actually a generous amount of seafood too!we chatted with the owner and she was so nice, told us she sent her chef to Japan, to learn the authentic method of udon making! they make fresh udon daily, which is why the noodles were had the perfect chew and bound! we can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu.

Delicious udon noodles. Food was reasonably priced with decent portions. My favourite was the potato cream udon. The restaurants atmosphere and vibe was also really nice. Service was also pretty good.

Delicious food, good service, and fairly nice atmosphere. We stayed at this place for three hours. I really enjoyed the shrimp tempura curry. I'm not a udon person, but from what I tried it was not bad. The overall experience was good but felt it was pricier than we would like. Would still come back though! Will come back and try some drinks next time.

This place has so many high reviews so we definitely had high hopes but the food was so dissapointing. Visually, all of it looked amazing but the tonkatsu and pork cutlet were both so bland. It tasted so unseasoned. The chicken karaage was okay at best. The curry did taste good but overall the proteins were just so bland. The price for the food was definitely not worth it.

The food portions are decent and prices are unbeatable! Loved my drink!Service was pretty slooowww! ? but they were okay. Definitely recommend this place. The music was decent and ambiance is fun for small groups of friends and couples for sure. I wouldn’t suggest it for more than 4 people.

Great atmosphere, great vibe, it can be rather busy at times and they don't accept reservations. If you're interested then be prepared to wait if you're coming during dinner time. They also have a 60 or 90minute dine-in time because they're so busy, so I'd keep that in mind. If you want less of a wait time? Go during the day! Also get the corn fritters. They're so good! The tuna is also good as well.

I love these kinds of reviews…I knew I was going to be in the Yonge/Finch area so I reached out to a friend for a recommendation and boy was it a good one! This was my first time at Menami so I’ll start with the environment. I absolutely LOVE the decor in the restaurant, they really hit it out of the park.Moving onto the food, as a starter we decided to try the corn karage (something I didn’t know existed so I thought….why not give it a try) and it definitely did not dissapoint. In a sense, it’s exactly what you’d expect it to be while at the same time being nothing you’d expect at all either. Onto the meal where I had opted to order something a little more tame. I went with the Kama Udon although the Seafood Yaki Udon was reallly calling my name. The broth was great, the tempura in the udon was still a little bit crunchy which gave the dish a nice added texture. Overall I had no complaints and would definitely recommend giving the place a shot. I will definitely be back to give the Yaki Udon a shot!

Food selection is pretty limited I guess it is more for a bar like liquor restaurant. However, server is super attentive. Had a dinner here in December 2021, price is above average and I think there is room for improvement regarding the taste, selection and quality of food.

Probably one of my fave restaurants of all time. I've tried almost every item on the menu, and I'd say my least favourite was the spicy pork udon but it seems like they don't offer it anymore. Everything else is good but the salmon cream udon is a bit fishy if you aren't a fan of fish. Definitely recommend the corn kaki-age. Overall service is great, prices are good (soju is a bit overpriced tho), and the atmosphere is comfortable.

I’ve always noticed lots of traffic and positive reviews here and I see why everyone loves it. The Chicken Kara-Age was the best I’ve had and came out piping hot. The Black Cashu Don had an incredible balance of flavours and textures which was our favourite. The Udon noodles had a fantastic texture and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Fun and modern interior decor, good music and great vibes. Thanks MeNami ☺️
