This review is long overdue. I would give 10 stars if I could. I have been going to MeVaMe York Mills since they opened and I am a regular here. The food is so amazing and I have been at other locations but they cannot compare to York Mills MeVaMe. Unfortunately, I have not been in the office since the pandemic and I take any opportunity to order from here whenever I am in the area. The staff are always friendly and have great customer service. The owners and management are so incredibly sweet here. The chicken breast plate I ordered yesterday was DELICIOUS!! Thank you for always being so great and providing the best Shawarma plates and chicken breast plates I have had
I was very disappointed with the shawarma wrap I had at this location. I used to go to Queen street location where they made their wrap bread from scratch to order. The shawarma had lukewarm chicken, the wrap was chewy and room temperature and despite all the tahini, garlic, tziki and hot sauce that was on it, it was still very bland. The flavors were just off for me and even though I ate most of it, it was just ok.
Very nice Mediterranean place. The food is simple, tasty and feels quite healthy, the portions are large, and the prices are reasonable. good for a takeout or dine in.
Took 45 minutes to cook a single small chicken laffa wrap, it had all the wrong toppings. 1 hour and $20 for the worst mevame experience ive ever had. The bread is also stale!!! Corporate should shut this location down
Used to eat here very often. Recently changed the menu and the food is now terrible. Kefta used to be lamb, now veal and tastes terrible. Food is now tasteless. I don't eat here anymore. Shame. I used to love this place.
Ordered takeout, it was good. Good falafel, moroccan cigars & coleslaw. Dips weren't that flavourful and the shawarma was a little dry. Portion was good.
Listen guys, I don't know what happened today but I ordered 1 grilled chicken wrap and 1 chopped salad with chicken from this location on uber eats and was thoroughly disappointed. The few pieces of chicken that were in the wrap were completely dry, the tomatoes and onion in the 3 ingredient salad were huge and there was a an ungodly amount of onion in the salad.
Very bad experience. I have ordered through Skip the dishes, 2 Chicken Schnitzels, advertised as big. 2-3 people can eat from one. Are you for real, Me Va Me, on York Mills?Delivery person brought 2 little portions, dry and with sesame seeds, no more no less, on both of them, though the picture wasn't showing these.Meat was like 1 mm and both myself and daughter refused to eat it. Disgusting, had to take antihistamines for sesame allergy. Daughter doesn't have sesame allergy, but she started scratching her neck.Guess, on top of everything, meat was fried in same oil, that seafood must have been cooked previously.I called Skip the dishes and got the whole credit back.I am posting a picture of their advertised Chicken Schnitzel, each for almost $4.00 and what I actually got, so you can see for yourselves the comparison. I would not give this meat even to my dog, it is so, so bad.This is my first and also my last experience ordering from this restaurant. I would not eat there, even if the food is free.?????
This place has unfortunately gone downhill. Twice in a row the falafel felt like you were chewing on sand or dirty floor. Hard, grainy, a huge turn off. The chicken is being left out 1000%. We definitely will be ordering from the avenue location in the future.
There’s a girl works there her name is NEGAR she’s so bad at her job also she ask costumers to go out with her, my boyfriend went to this location few times and in the end she asked him to go out with her. the restaurant managements should look forward how’s they are hiring instead of doing her job she’s bothering customers
