To be honest, the cashier there is bit rude. But the food is good.
I've been going to Macs for the last two years here. In the last year, they've come under new management which turned the place from a regular Macs into an actual little sushi joint. Always offering to make rolls from scratch for you, just a genuine all around good guy. Plenty of experience making sushi, and you could taste the change and even see it with better prices and more variety. Beats Sushi Q and Sushi Shop by miles to be honest.
The spot is excellent and broad, the food was delicious and the prices were very fair. quickly, efficient service and very friendly staff members. I highly recommend this place.

I've been here a lot since I was freshman. The Chef and cashiers are always so kind and deligent. This store's hygiene was so clean and fresh. I strongnly recommemd if you want to try sushi in York Uni.

This is SUSHI LOVER's place! I don't usually eat take out sushi because mostly they put tons of rice on sushi, but this is different. Rice was really soft. Service was nice, all staffs are friendly. I had a chance to talk to a chef/owner. He comes to the restaurant like 5am to prepare fish, and rice. He was really passionate about cooking and his ingredient.
The place is under new management and the owner is absolutely amazing - 10/10 customer service. He’s always offering to make you sushi per your request, he takes into consideration my shrimp allergy, and of course the sushi is delicious.No complaints here thanks to him I’ll always be back!
I knew this place always opened late and close early. I went YUSC around 8:50am to have a breakfast, but non of them were opened. Only Mac's Sushi was open. I was afraid of asking to cook for me since sign says it open from 9:30 am. The chef (I think he is an owner) was welcoming me. He explained me what he could do at that particular time. I ordered anything with shrimp to him.Roll was great! it was obviously warm, and shrimp was crispy. He also said that he comes to open it at 6:00am to prepare fish. THAT'S INSANE!I will repeat for sure! btw the owner or chef, he is very nice!
It seems like it is running under new management. Owner is young I guess around 30. I asked him to cook around 9:20am. He didn’t even wait 1sec, just said yes. Surprisingly portion was much bigger than old one. Finally YorkU got a good sushi restaurant.
