We love this restaurant! The interior decoration is super cosy and very pretty for small or large groups. Our favourite dishes are the Kaikaki rolls - these are giant with a lot of fresh ingredients (unagi, crab, fried shrimp, torched salmon, avocado, cucumber etc), kaikaki combo - very classic sashimi and sushi combo, BBQ pork don - super tasty and marinated to the finest :) they also have a wide selection of beverages and soju!Follow me on Instagram @maggielicious.to for more food adventures!
Ordered the salmon dinner set and a maki dinner set both plated on a beautiful boat. Service and food were good. Need to work on hygiene - some plates weren’t cleaned properly with oily food residue.
We discovered this Japanese restaurant during the pandemic and so happy to have it at our front door. Friendly staff, clean restaurant, and excellent food. Sushi and other menu items are fresh and delicious.
Very cozy family run restaurant. Came on a Friday night and was seated in a tiny booth. Service is friendly and meal came with free salad + noodle appetizer. Presentation of sushi is good, but food quality is nothing special.
The sushi was very fresh and the service was great! I had the spicy salmon roll and white tuna roll, and they were both delicious. This is a cool ‘hole in the wall’ sushi spot for anyone in and around the Bayview/Cummer area!
Absolutely amazing hidden gem and hole in the wall of Toronto.Super super fresh and tasty food especially sashimi and shrimp roll. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend. This spot obviously knows how to satisfy their customers. Constantly with a very nice attitude. Since I knew this place, I haven’t tried other sushi restaurants.
We ordered a takeout for the first time at Kaikaki and were a bit unlucky. The spring rolls were white, under-fried and smelled like oil. The avocado in the rolls was unripe, which is unpleasant for my taste. Philadelphia roll had a disproportionate amount of cucumber - I had never eaten a Philadelphia roll with cucumber. The salmon lovers dinner was good, but didn’t compensate overall. For $80, I can’t say I would recommend.
Needs to be bigger. I love the boots they have and the service they offer . Also, very cozy and warm atmosphere!
Absolutely disappointing. I don't really write review, but I was floored by what I got. I order 2 chirashi for my brother and I. It was $20 each. What I got was less than a cup of rice, maybe 3/4, it barely filled the bottom potion of the take out container. I think my brother counted 12 pieces of sashimi, and these were cut small and a small slice of avocado that was turning brown already. So imagine buying a poke bowl for $15, and have that portion cut in 1/2 or 1/3. Thats the potion size I got from this place!
Sushi and Maki tray looks amazing and fresh. Highly recommend it. ??
