Went on a weekend night, and was delighted! Superbly lifting ambience and great atmosphere! Drinks were awesome! Food was terribly expensive, but was tasty. The only downside was speed of service, server’s lack of awareness and nonchalant behaviour, as we were waiting for our food for over 45minutes… however, recommended for one of the best hangout spots near Yorkdale!
Joey is really JOY
The bar is awesome here and has a rock solid menu with some vegetarian options. Has a nice mix of dine in, quiet, loud, social. game-watching and dining—depending on your dinner intentions.Only real weird thing I found was that reservations, walk-ins are booked yet the place has seating. An obvious conclusion here is that they are short-staffed. Worth a mention.
This was a great place to have Sunday brunch. The wait was less than 30 minutes as we didn't have a reservation. We were seated in the lounge/bar and our server was Alba; she was absolutely amazing. She provided excellent customer service. She was kind, courteous and funny. She also made helpful suggestions to our drink and food selections. Alba was very approachable and always made excellent contact with our table and was there if we needed anything. The food was DELICIOUS from start to finish. We enjoyed drinks from the non alcoholic menu of She Pretty and Matcha Mojito. The appetizers of Hummus with crispy pita and Joey's famous loaded mashed potato spring rolls with sour cream, bacon and chives....THIS IS A MUST HAVE!!!! Our mains were the Prawn and Lobster Ravioli with steak and Chicken Parmesan. We also had for dessert the beautifully made Individual Apple Pie with Maple Ice Cream. I'm happy to report we were apart of the Clean Plate Club....everything was FANTASTIC!!!!The restaurant was clean and all COVID safety protocols were met.I will definitely visit Joey's Yorkdale again. Thanks again and keep up the amazing work!!!Mr and Mrs Nicole....Alba will get it lol ??
The service: Very good, our server was prompt courteous and present. Service goes along way for making a good Resturaunt. The food: We had chicken burgers with fries and salad, and Bombay Butter Chicken with Naan bread. No complaints from the burgers, Butter Chicken was also good.White wine sangria, not so good .. seemed a little weak and they were $12 each .. we had two.Price: Over all… Bill was $120. minus the drinks your looking around $27 a plate. It was the butter chicken it was over $30. It wasn’t terrible for price but not great value either. It was the service for me on this restaurant…our waitress was great and the ambiance was good. If you want a nicer place to eat with good service and don’t mind paying a little more .. it’s worth a try.
Great visit to joeys after so long. I was a little sad that all my favorites had been taken off the menu (chicken club and lobster grilled cheese that came with this sweet salsa and no flatbread!). Tried the hummus and tzatziki dip which was delicious with the fried pita! Also had the chicken burger which was okay but the kale salad with nuts was weird. It would've been better without the nuts and maybe a peanut dressing. I just had way too many big chunks of peanuts in mine
After reopening now in the beginning of 2022, this place is packed again! Great food and great and bright ambiance! I visited for lunch and big open windows are a great feature of this place which makes it so pleasant to spend some time there! Please just make sure that your servers are a bit quicker and more responsive! I know it could get busy and there is a lot to do, however just send a glimpse towards your guests’ tables just to see if they need anything.
Craved the sliders one night after shopping. Had to wait about an hour for seating but worth it. Don't expect fine dining but the food is very good, good value, good service, bit loud but anything is after 2 years of a lockdown! Still thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Consistent every time.
I made reservations to this location a month in advance for 10 people. I called in qnd the staff were incredably nice and answered all the questions I had. I was able to bring a cake to celebrate a birthday and they were very accommodating.I love the ambience of this location. It is very relaxed and the decor is beautiful. The food and the service was amazing. They were very accommodating ... even with all the restrictions. Our waitor Daniel was super nice and was funny. He was very patient with us and answered all of our questions. I honestly LOVED the food.. that's probably an understatement. not only did I have my meal but I got to try the other dishes served to my friends and they were AMAZING. All the dishes were packed with flavour.. I would definitely recommend this location and come back here again amd again.
My friend and I visited in August 2021 and we had a few inconveniences which the training manager (Adam Campese) was able to fix by going above and beyond. I can laugh now but at the time, one of my ear pods had fallen between the cracks of the patio (too small for any sized fingers to reach) and Adam craftly used bent chop sticks to retrieve them! I was concerned about him kneeling and ruining his pants but he was so easy going about it all! Adam was also able to fix a miscommunication issue with our requested table. Recognition also to Jada, Ronnie and Jonathan! The Food was quite good as well!
