The restaurant is good , but there wasn't ice-cream option in the dessert menu . , I think ice-cream can be good option for kids and adult.

Finding restaurants that have an experience for adults as well as little people (ages 5 and 7) is a bit of a challenge post COVID, however Jack Astors (Shops on Don Mills) was great. From the service , thanks Shah, to the food (enjoyed the new vegan/plant based options) it was a good visit. The little people enjoyed their selection and gave the whole experience a thumbs up and a 10 out of 10.
Love going to Jacks as it's so lively and has awesome music playing on the background. Service was outstanding.

Classic! I never realized how much of a family restaurant this place was until I saw each table with a newborn or toddler ? I went there for a Sunday evening date, we order the bruschetta for appetizer. Our mains were the chicken bow tie pasta ? + 11oz steak?. I normally get the pasta as us; but this time I added bacon ? and mushrooms ? which wad a huge mistake because the bacon made it taste too salty. The 11oz steak was done medium well and tasted very delicious. For sides it came with a baked potato ? and green peas. Finally for dessert we had a brownie ?. The food is always stellar here. Great service and fun friend atmosphere ?
While the staff was friendly, we waited almost 10 minutes to get our drink orders in. We had no cutlery on our table and had to wait for that too after our food was dropped off. I had the pad Thai and couldn’t finish it - the noodles were undercooked, lumped all together, the chicken tasted like it was freezer burnt and over-microwaved, sauce had very little flavour and there was hardly any.ETA - reached out to the manager, discussed my concerns, and was assured that the staff will work on their timing and was also offered a gift certificate to try them again. Great customer service!
Daughter’s bday
This location was great! I had a planned dinner and drinks night with some former colleagues and friends! We had a great time and I'm glad I chose this location to get together! I've been here on several occasions but that was prior the pandemic! The place was clean, hospitable, great stuff, top knotch food and the wine, always amazing! I can't recommend this location enough and Matt who served us was an amazing host! Thank you again and it was a great time!
