The chicken is delicious, the staff provide excellent service, and the food leaves you satiated. The wait for the food is approximately 7-15 minutes, but it is absolutely worth is for deliciously spiced chicken. The large Taiwanese chicken is a delightful meal to eat while on the go, however sometimes wait times fluctuate so keep that in mind.
Great, authentic Taiwanese fried chicken. It's a shame they closed down the downtown location, so this is the only one around now. The original fried chicken, Korean friend chicken, and the plum powder fries are the best! The spring rolls were pretty good too. Will always come back for some good old comfort Taiwanese fried chicken.
Review for UberEATS- 5 piece of chicken wings, choice of up to 2 flavors. I had original (new Orleans?) And less spicy. Both were very crispy and flavourful inside and out ! It was a tad spicy for me even though I ordered the mildest flavours.- plum sweet potato - not your average sweet potato fries. The portion is massive. Crispy and plum flavoured batter while maintaing a fresh and sweet potato inside.Fresh, crispy and overall tasty. Thumbs up!
They get it perfect every time!! Love the special flavor of the chicken, and the crunchy texture, thanks to how they package their take out. I order from them quite regularly in the past few years. The fact that their quality is so consistent is impressive!
The fourth time I came here to order fried chicken, I ordered a chicken and wings. The chicken and wings are really crunchy and they have a supper good texture，the sauce is tasty and the size is great??. I also orderd a lychee-flavored sparkling water, which was nice and not too sweet. Hot star large fried chicken is the best fried chicken store I've ever had in Toronto! I had it today and it was horrible. Cheese was only in one part of the chicken and it was chewy and solid/rubbery. Not real melty cheese, something very processed. The chicken was very dry and the bottom half was very thin. I had this once in the past in 2019 and the chicken was thick, juicy and the cheese so melty. They definitely changed the cheese and use lower quality chicken. Will not be back

The extra large Taiwanese fried chicken is really tasty.Room for improvement, the staffs should really pay attention to customers. Both were busy chatting and kinda of giving me the impression that they're ignoring customers.
Love the food and drinks here but they need to do something about the sealing of the cups. I shook my drink a bit to get it all mixed and the whole thing exploded all over me. It wasn't open but the impact of my shaling caused the plastic to break. Usually with bubble tea cups, shaking it isn't a problem. I dont know how there is so much air in there that it did that. Whenever I order from here the top of the drinks where the seal is is always overstuffed with drink and air.
