This was such a delicious and satisfying meal. I've loved jokbal since I tried it in Korea but didn't know if Toronto had any places that made it. So glad we finally tried it, it did not disappoint and dare I say it was probably better than the place I tried in Seoul. Seafood pancake was huge and one of the best I've tried so far. Only thing missing on menu is gyeranjjim so hopefully one day they will decide to add it onto the menu. Need to come back and try the gukbap bc dwaeji gukbap was one my fav meals I had in Busan and I've missed it. Prices may seem a lil high but for so much food and the quality, I'd say it was worth it. Customer service was also great, staff were very friendly and came by a couple times to check if everything was OK. Def recommend this place.
Even though the Jokbal is supposed to be the star of the show, we particularly enjoyed the seafood pancake and kimchi served here. The waitress was really nice and attentive about refilling our side dishes! Bit on the pricier side.
The braised pork hocks were perfectly cooked and just tasting amazing. Seasoned rice and rice cake tasted great, too. Fast service and friendly waiters. Only a few parking spaces but street parking is available nearby. Will come back again. Highly recommend!
We got the original jokbal and it was delicious. So soft and tender. The portion was big enough to feed 3 people at least. We also go the DIY rice balls - so simple, but so tasty. Friendly service. Definitely recommend.
Prok hock was way much softer than I expected but it was very yummy. I had the original but am willing to try the garlic one next time. The noodle was super great, especially with the pork hock. King sprout souo was nice as well. Staffs were very nice and kind. I will recommend this place to my friends for sure. As a Korean, this is 4.5/5 perfect place for pork hock (original Korean pork hock is not this soft but more likely to be chewy, but the taste was perfect.).
I would say this is the best korean pork hock and seafood pancake I've ever had in GTA, but the quality of service could be improved. There were only two waiters for the entire dinner, and ice water was not served in time after we sat down, instead we asked for the waiter Ice water is provided. And no gloves are provided after the rice balls are served.
A little gem in North York for some of the best Korean jokbals and bossam in the neighbourhood!Their spicy pork trotters with cheese on top is mygo to order whenever i’m here! The portions are huge and meant for sharing. So don’t over order! The pork is perfectly seasoned and pairs deliciously with their DIY rice ball plate. The rice is topped with lots of mayo, seaweed, tobiko and seasoning. Simply mix it up, form little balls and enjoy ???Out of the many places to serve Korean jokbal this ranks pretty high on my list as one of my favourites in the city!
The spicy pork hock had a very deep flavour and perfect smokiness on each bite. Tasted amazing and didn’t have any pig fat smell. Highly recommended!
Good food, huge portions, although a bit on the expensive side. I had their garlic pork hock recently, and I would say the taste is a little bit overwhelming and heavy. I think I prefer their fire pork hock more.
Food was soooo good! The jokbal was so flavourful and the portions are generous! The DIY "rice ball", which is actually a box of rice with really tasty toppings, is the best add-on, along with complimentary kimchi and lettuce wrap. Will definitely go back for more!!
