Big disappointment when I realized they were advertising as a a Conservative Party restaurant only. Why bring politics into your business? Is everyone else not welcome there? How do the staff feel about working for a conservative only restaurant? This is tough because they actually have a menu I would have like to try again. We live across the street and brought friends here. This menu is for sharing, which not everyone likes. It’s sad I am forced through politics to go somewhere else I can relax without thinking about women’s rights.
Went last night for the first time in a long time. Always loved this place. They do amazing fusion Korean food. Traditional korean with a lil north American twist.I use to always get the Korean tacos but they now do bao's, we got the pork belly & they were so good. Had to get the kimchi fries because they are the star of the show.Highly recommend this spot, their drink specials (every day of the week) are really good.Service is always friendly & efficient
Worth trying.Hands down one of the most flavourful spicy sauces I've had, and it's not too spicy either.Small focused menu, get the main thing here, which is their jeokbal. We had both spicy and non-spicy version and the plain version was just that - very plain.Service kind of slow and you have to constantly work your neck to make eye contact.Prices are standard, expect $25-$35pp with a beer.
Honestly maybe the best chicken wings I've had in a few years. They are dry rub style but holy cow you can tell they don't half fry then fry them again to make it faster to serve the table... Service was friendly but a little forgetful even with only a few tables but that's not a big deal if it's something minor that was missed. Seafood pancake is really good very light on batter mostly ingredients.
Great little Korea tapas place in Sheppard-Yonge. I honestly had no idea this place exists. It was a lucky find for sure! Music was a bit loud but inside was very cosy and service was very quick. We were so excited to try soju flight but it was unavailable when we were there on Friday night. Wish we could try next time when we visit here again. This place can get very busy, recommend calling beforehand to make sure if they have a table especially if you’re planning to go there with 3 or more people on the Friday night or the weekend.
Omg, felt like just came back to Seoul.I used work nearby Seoul city hall, and there's famous authentic jokbal restaurants.....wife and I just talked about our favorite place....damn soooooo good~ so happy to find this place in Toronto!!!
Menu has changed a little bit since I last went but overall the food was good. The drinks and servers were OK and nothing to rave about. There are a lot of Korean restaurants to choose from in this area but I'd recommend giving it a try. Their fries were my favorite on the menu.
Ordered take out for pick up and everyone loved it. It was our first time trying korean jokbal. The skin and meat are super delicious; combined with the sides wrapped in lettuce, it was perfect! We also got the seafood pancake, spicy rice cake, and truffle cream rice cake which were all decent.
Homely place with a great vibe and friendly staff. Excellent spot for casual drinking with a small to medium sized group.
great food and cocktails- love the sangria!
