Went here in the evening with a few friends and wanted to try a bunch from the menu. The chicken wrap and shrimp sandwich was okay at best. Fries, onion rings, popcorn chicken was very underwhelming. Everything was over cooked and the fried cod was super dry. The wait time was brutal, was told it would be a 15 minute wait and we waited over 45 minutes for our last item. The staff were nice but that’s about it.
Grandone Chicken serves up Asian-style fried comfort food. Opening during the pandemic, they had a hot deal going based on the rave reviews. Somehow we didn't get the hype memo, as our order was far from a grand one. I'm glad the business is doing well so I'm sharing an honest opinion of the fried chicken and shrimp sandwich.The staff was surprised to have business on a weekend afternoon, and just sat under the cash register. Within our order, the fried shrimp sandwich came loaded in a crunchy patty with beans & veggies inside toasted buns. I was anticipating a good bite; the only problem was that it was rock hard without much flavour. Since I don't like wasting food, I didn't toss it out. The spicy chicken was crispy and seasoned well similar to Taiwanese fried chicken. Its only drawback was that the spice seasoning was quite salty. Not as ultra crispy as Taiwanese night market chicken but it'll do.One benefit of this location is that dessert is only a stone's throw away. The nearby Wooffles & Cream stall is always busy. The rest of this quiet food court seemed to have fallen on harder times during the pandemic though a return to office may help boost lunch business. However, we'll be getting our fried chicken fix from elsewhere at a similar price point.
I ordered this for lunch on ubereats. They had a Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion which was an incredible deal.The popcorn chicken was spicy with a sweet kick to it. I'm surprised it was still so crunchy for a delivery item.The fries came soggy but that's expected.The fish sandwich was very tasty.
Deceived by the reviews. Not good. Cold and soggy. The american cheese single was not melted, just rubbery and cold. The chicken had big fat globules that made the texture unappealing. The only other toppings are lettuce, pickle, and mayo. The "spice" dust is not spicy. There are a million other fried chicken places in the city. Disappointed by this one, even with the "buy one get one" at $18 for two sandwiches wasn't worth it because it wasn't tasty.
First time visiting today and I gotta tell ya, that chicken sandwich is amazing! Very filling, very tasty, and for that price? ?? Giving a four star because they don't have chipotle mayo for their sweet potato fries.
Stumped upon this place mistakenly and happy that it worked out. Glad we were able to try both the shrimp and chicken burgers were amazing. Good customer service and thank you for the recommendations.
Man this place was good. I find myself thinking about it days later haha. I ordered a chicken sandwich combo with fries and I asked the guy working there what was their most popular item and he said the shrimp sandwich, so I just had to order that too. And man was that good. It was so so crispy and just so tasty I have never had anything like that and I was surprised at how much I loved it. I really recommend that item for sure. Everything else was great as well and the fries were super crispy which is always great. Will definitely be coming back!

AND ?????!!! It’s moist inside! I kind of get the Taiwanese fried chicken feeling but not exactly the same. Go get the hot spice!!! It’s not super spicy. LOVE it❣️Shrimp sandwich is probably the most unique!! Beware! It only has limited quantities (get their early). It’s loaded with corn and real shrimp!! And amazing spice!! It’s not our favourite but it’s def worth getting it!!!Calamari is super crunchy! The batter and the squid ratio is on point!!

Fantastic fried chicken! The coating has grear flavour, and the chicken is always juicy. Be patient with waiting for your food. The chicken is cooked fresh so it's worth the wait! Staff is also friendly.
