Fun experience in a unique atmosphere. We went with some Iranian friends who did all the ordering and explained all the dishes to us. There is also a lot to look at in the restaurant so the atmosphere is fabulous. They did say it was a little pricier, but you can't compare prices it to back in Iran. It is a nice restaurant as well, so you will pay more. The meal was well presented and very good. Our friends said that it was good as well and tasted authentic. The staff were friendly and the service was good.Located upstairs. Paid parking is validated by the restaurant.
It was a great experience. We were a large group of around 14 ppl and each had ordered a separate item. The dishes ordered were Kobideh Kabob (Beef), Lamb Chops, Lamb Shanks, Chicken Breast Kabob, drinks including pop and yogurt drink.All of the dishes were freshly prepared and were delicious in taste and generous portions.The service was great and we really had good time.Would definitely recommend this place.
Fabulous decor and scrumptious food, though its location is somewhat out there .. and the coming out of the parking lot requires a gated/ticketed experience needing patience.Food is fantastic, the bread is made right in front of you, if you wish to experience it and the service is quick and excellent.
I ordered by phone and asked if they accept cash, the lady said yes but she didn't tell me how much to bring. I arrived and got my food and after i gave her $40, she told me she doesn't have change! And unfortunately I didn't have my cards on me so i had to tip her $6 for taking my order on the phone and not paying attention to me for 10min when i was there?I get home and open my food and see the rice was extra dry and it wasn't even full+ they didn't even wash the rice properly cuz there was a piece of metal in it... .Not to mention i asked for cutlery and didn't get any?
The interior is kind of nicely and traditionally decorated,It was 6 of us and we almost ordered everything in the menu ?Baghela ghatogh (باقلا قاتوق) was very salty, don’t even think to try it if you have a high blood pressure issue,Kashke bademjan (کشک بادمجان) was very okay, not even tasty,The best part was its Special Kebab (کباب گلبرگ); Golbarg Kebab, also koobideh (کوبیده) and Shishlik (شیشلیک)، were very tasty, juicy and delicious,The rice didn’t smell well, though!!It was very busy, so their service was very slow.
The bread is the best bread you'll taste, aside from going to Iran and getting it there. Service has improved a lot since I've last been here (2015). Giving it a 4 star because the women's bathroom was so bad. Major leak from the roof and no warning of water on floor. I'm pregnant and that could of been very dangerous.
We were told that this is the premier place for Persian cuisine years ago, and we keep coming back because they were all right!The staff are wonderfully polite and kind!We really enjoy their lamb dishes, along with their eggplant and stews.(Make sure to ask for tahdeeg!)
It was a great experience dinning at Gilaneh restaurant;The quality of meals was great, the taste of meals was unique and signature so that you cannot find any comparable Persian restaurants in GTA, the staff attitude was so friendly and professional, the decoration was unique and appropriately symbolizing Gilan province culture and urban design.Special thanks to Ms. SAJEDEH who served us last night, she was very welcoming, friendly and nice. We had our new born baby with us, so she advised my partner on her choice of appetizer to be suitable for our baby's digestion. It meant a lot to us because it shows Ms. SAJEDEH's sense of responsibility towards customers, and on top of that her empathy towards other human beings.We are planning to throw a party this weekend at this restaurant, celebrating first month birthday of our daughter. Now we are confident that our guests will enjoy the night to the fullest.
Delicious Persian food and excellent service, great place to go with family.
The food was tasty but some of the pieces was uncooked and the portion was small. We were not happy with the service. The waitress was nice but because the restaurant was very busy she couldn’t respond efficiently. We enjoyed the environment and view.
