Food is alright, this place is opened 1950 ! Same owner is serving you!!! Its beautiful feeling. Not has changed inside. We loved the fries and owners attitude.

Stumbled upon this cute little old diner after my appointment at Humber river hospital. I’m a big fan of older diners because the breakfast and food is always great… you can’t find these diners around anymore sadly. I ordered two breakfasts, a cheese omelette and eggs with sausages both came with potatoes. Also had coffee and orange juices came around 30 something, which is not bad at for my opinion. It was beyond delicious. This owned by lovely older couple who I asked how long they’ve owned this restaurant for, they had told me since 1950’s!!!! That’s 72 years! Love the atmosphere, I’ve been to modern breakfast places but my heart stays with older diners like these.

An amazing old school diner. I simply loved the way they maintained this place and keeping it going the old fashioned way. The food might not be the best, but definitely this place will make you feel good. Hats off to the staff who literally beats their age to run this place! Absolute excellence!

I love this retro restaurant for breakfast it’s very affordable if they charge you what the price is on there actual menu. The two owners are lovely. Love coming to support this restaurant that’s been open since the 50s, same owners! But I was overcharged and mentioned it, yet I still wasn’t given back the correct change, I didn’t wanna argue so because of that I won’t be returning sad to say. An $8 breakfast with a three dollar add on comes to $11 plus tax but I was charged over $16 and after I mentioned it I should have gotten my correct change but didn’t

This place is so sweet, a total time capsule and the authentic 50s decor and vibe is unbeatable. I came here for Sunday lunch,.their menu is largely breakfast and sandwiches, they have a few soups and burgers too. I got a delicious milkshake served in the vintage metal container. Come here for hangover breakfast or when you're craving something very greasy

I had lunch with my family yesterday. The Downsview Restaurant hasn’t changed since the 70’s when I lived in the area. My daughter said the onion rings were the best she ever had, we all agreed with her. Lunch was great. Georgina, Betty and Bill, thank you for all your hard work and keeping the restaurant going through Covid. It felt like coming home.

Absolutely lovely old school restaurant. People who complain about their work should come and watch the old couple working here. They are ready to serve you a plate full of delicious food. This was my first time, but not in hell it was my last

Just had such a wonderful experience here, the food was delicious, the prices were more than reasonable and the couple who own the place were so sweet. We will definitely be making this out new go to breakfast spot in the city !!

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years and just yesterday I took my daughter and two grandchildren sat down and the waitress the person the owner lovely little lady greeted us and asked us what we want to have she’s a second generation and I couldn’t tell you the service the food do you know what I pay extra to get that kind of serviceThank you MarioReturning Customer

The food here is good but in an unique way.You are taking a moment to go back in time when you come here.Sentimentalism is strong here. The old adorable couple still work there cooking, washing and serving their customers like what they have been doing since so many decades ago.We are from Vancouver and my wife and I absolutely love going to all day breakfast places. One note though if Bill you see this. Your pork chops reminds me of my mothers pork chop - flavourful but extremely dry - but I enjoyed it?Lots of regulars here.
